I am a resident here and have absolutely loved it! The people in the office are always super kind and helpful. The amenities are awesome! Me and my roommate love to use the gym and tanning beds. Sometimes they have free pizza and other goodies in the office. Not to mention the view is amazing, it never gets old. The village of meadow view is an amazing place to live and I will continue to renew my lease throughout college!

I absolutely LOVE living at Village of Meadowview! The staff and management are always so nice and willing to work with you. I have lived here for the past three years and have enjoyed every minute of my time here! Would definitely recommend someone to move in to this complex!

My child has truly enjoyed her time at the VOM. During a recent personal emergency, Treasure went above and beyond to provide support and assistance, which meant so much to our family. She has always been available to answer my many questions, and I am very grateful knowing my daughter lives in an apartment community that genuinely cares about its residents.

Lived here for 2 years. Haven’t had many problems at all. They do fun giveaways and constantly have stuff for free for residents to grab. The view from my apartment is really pretty. Its the only apartment complex i know that looks over all of boone.

Meadowview gives me that corporate vibe, with excessive regulations and rules, hidden fees and fines, and an overall systemic exploitation of tenants. Meadowview requires a mandatory $30 per month concierge trash pick up fee which they peddle as a wonderful convenience. (per tenant so $60-$90 monthly for them per unit) - this requires you leave your trash outside your door, which makes the buildings look like section 8 housing. You may only leave 1 bag per unit per day no more than 15 lbs and you can only put it out between 4pm and 5pm (when hardly anyone is home). Failure to comply leads to a $50 fine per incident. Conversely, pumpkins outside your door at Halloween are strictly prohibited - If you get caught it's a $500 fine (500, that's not a typo), because "fire hazard". But your trash bags are all good, no fire hazard issues there. Also, if you are caught with an overnight guest you're fined $100/night. So no letting your boyfriend sleep over. Tenants pay about $1000 per person - this is NOT a dorm, we are off-campus, and legal adults - but you cant let your friend sleep over in your private bedroom. There are other fees and fines, and you're limited to how many people you can have in your unit at once (so forget parties). The units are nice, although the stairs/walkways have peeling paint and are hazardous when wet. Buildings are settling and there are cracks along doorframes/ceilings. Parking is strictly enforced, and if your visitor parks in the unreserved resident parking for a few minutes, watch out because they will tow you in a second even though no posted signs. (you're expected to know). My Dad got towed and picked it up an hour later and got charged $150. This is called "Predatory Towing", people, and it's another way to extract income from tenants. If you want a reserved spot near your building it costs extra ("premium parking"). Visitor parking is an insanely long walk, which sucks if you have a lot to carry or if it's cold or dark. Anything they can find to charge you extra for - they will. Electric is extra and I was told during my tour that average bill could be ~ $15 /month (tenants split monthly). My highest bill for monthly electricity (PER PERSON) was $300 in December and I was gone for most of it - Not energy efficient. Internet goes out frequently. On a positive note, maintenance team is awesome so that's a plus. Love the gym, open 24hrs, no extra charge to use. I love being able to have my dog with me although I pay $35 extra monthly pet rent. Public transit picks up right at the complex, so great for students at AppState. Also, they pressure you to renew your lease when you are only a few months in, and you have to give them 5 months advance notice if you want to renew. Yes, my lease is up in August but I have to renew by March, and my rent would go up over 100 per month regardless. The constant pressure to renew is obnoxious - "spots are limited, hurry!" - Corporate tactics and propaganda-laden language. People see through that ya know, just sayin' guys. We're young and you think we're stupid but we're not. BOTTOM LINE: To all the fellow young people reading this, don't accept the systemic exploitations of tenants by corporate owned complexes like Meadowview. Having researched this complex, I've uncovered nested legal entities which suggests a sophisticated layering technique to protect powerful interests. Day-to-day operations are delegated to 3rd-party property management operators, which you see sitting in the Meadowview office. They are not running the show. The actual folks making all these ridiculous rules and imposing these fees are Big Business. Consider renting from locally owned small complexes instead, and preserve your humanity.
