Let’s just start by saying I lived at the Cottages of Boone and it was 10x better than living here. To start off the rent is $1000 a month plus an extra $100 if you want to even park here. If you don’t get to park then you have to walk 10 minutes to the State Farm lot to even get your car. Second, the worst managed place I have ever witnessed. First they cut 5 holes in our wall because they suspected mold. The process of them fixing it should have taken 3 days, instead it has taken 2+ months. I then have to sleep beside this mysterious pink stain beside my face for 2+ years that they “claim” is nothing harmful, but yet I have continued sicknesses on and off for the 2 years I’ve lived here (see picture below of window). We come home after a Christmas break and there is another mysterious thing along the molding outside of my room (see other pictures below). Then for them to come into my room WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR TELLING ME and doing tremendous amounts of work and leave trash on the floor and dust everywhere (when I live with a cat). Our dishwasher has not worked for the 2 years that I’ve lived here, and every time they look at it they blame it on us and the things we are putting down the garbage disposal. While they were doing work in our apartment the maintenance man just happened to not plug our fridge back in and all our food went bad overnight. (This took the office over a week to resolve with my roommates and I) For paying over $12,000 to live here per year, literally choose anywhere else in Boone. My roommates and I continually contact the property with issues, and they continually refuse to respond. We have never once received rent off or any sort of compensation except for $50 for them turning off our fridge. Good luck future residents!

I have lived here since the beginning of the school year and have had a good experience. I have a 15 year old cat and the size of the rooms has been really helpful to give space to both my cat and I. I love having my own personal bathroom as well. I find that the workers are friendly and willing to help with anything. The only issue I have had is that the hot tub is often closed.

The Fin is a sweet residence and allows dogs! Beautiful place!

There was a fire last week in which the sprinklers didn’t go on (Which is illegal). On top of that today we’ve had 2 fire “drills” which is basically just them turning on the alarm and leaving it on for a couple hours one of which is ongoing. This makes studying incredibly hard and just inconveniences you for everything. I have to say the student staff are very relatable and personable but thats not due to the finmore management thats just them being good at what they do. Management is absolutely horrendous. Maintenance guys are great I will say that. Whoever owns this building is one greedy person constantly upping the prices (not according to inflation if that even matters). Unfortunately everywhere else in Boone sucks making this 1 out of 5 star apartment complex the best one. If I spoke on parking it’d have to be a whole essay but the gist is that they look for any opportunity to tow. This place sucks so you’re better off getting your own house to stay in.

I have loved living here the past 3 years! The maintenance team is the best, the amenities are awesome and it has so many busses that come by for class convenience!
