I stayed here and it was absolutely amazing. I loved it here and I love my pad for grad experience.

I lived in a unit with pads for grads for almost 3 years. The only good things about the apartment were the location, and the landlord mostly leaves you alone. Other than that, the apartment was terrible. The unit was run down with many maintenance issues. The windows were extremely drafty, making winters very unpleasant. Safety precautions, like the smoke detector and the fire extinguisher, were old and expired. The whole building I lived in required maintenance, and the entrance was unsafe with broken stones and was covered by weeds and poison ivy. The parking options that were offered costed more than they were worth. The landlord is hard to get in contact with. When I had questions, he provided me with minimal answers and information. There were multiple times when he was supposed to be in his office, and he wasn't, which is very unprofessional. I would not recommend renting through this agency. Changed this review to one star because I never got my deposit back despite asking and giving my address.

Absolutely horrible... stay away! The building was old and outdated and needs severe maintenance. Fire alarm was broken, windows were completely destroyed when I moved in. I don’t know about other properties but this one was above their main office and is basically a converted attic. I didn’t notice anything when I checked it out in the winter, but during summer the heat is absolutely unbearable. It makes sleeping in the car seem worth it. Air flow seems off in apartment also. Landlord is too cheap to put in a ceiling fan. Customer service is pretty shoddy and not extremely helpful. Only possible plus is the location is close to campus, but not worth it for the price and everything else. Almost substandard living. The landlord must know people are desperate for housing in Boone and takes full advantage of that.

I came across a vague listing on Facebook and decided to reach out to this “agency” based on the price and location. I contacted the owner to schedule a tour. He had me meet with the maintenance man, and while the apartment was ran down and dated, I figured it would take some time to fix up and wanted to submit an application. After cancelling 2 scheduled meeting times, he finally meets with me and promptly states that the price listed was incorrect — and it was actually a 35% markup from the previously listed price. Afterwards he states that the rent starts June 1 (today is May 22), but he is unsure if it will be ready for move-in by then. I asked about prorated rent if it wasn’t ready, to which he simply said no. After going back and forth, I told him I didn’t think the lease was a good fit. From here he proceeded to become visibly upset, and walked out of his office, leaving me sitting there. With someone this unprofessional and, based on other reviews, seemingly ruthless with the way he manages tenants, it’s no surprise things didn’t work out. I just hope that the next person doesn’t get conned into leasing with this operation taking advantage of an already inflated local market.

Stole my deposit and avoided all attempts to contact. They never provided documentation as to why they didn’t return it. I paid out of pocket to have the paint fixed and the apartment cleaned. Left that place much better than I found it and get ghosted. Just another slum lord. Also the sink was rotting and they seemed to not care.
