Well what can I say about Uncommon. Our son moved into his apartment with excitement and high hopes, because it was the newest, best equipped complex at the time for off campus housing, in the summer of 2024. Fast forward 2 years. If you were to ask a former Soviet Union gulag camp commandant to come manage an apartment complex, this is what you now have in the heart of Boise State. Let’s start with the fine fine fine print. After being in the apartment 6 weeks you will begin to get bombarded with emails to renew for NEXT year. Yes. Sign now for the following year, lock in your new increased rate. Oh you didn’t sign by the end of the resign period (October), you just lost your parking spot for next year. You go back on the waiting list with 600 other students for 95 slots. Need anything from management, the answer is immediately no. Can we park and move our student in? No. Can you come check out the HVAC unit that’s making noises? No fill out a form, it’ll be 2-3 weeks. Can you guys empty the dumpster because the trash chutes are full and backed up to the 4th floor? No, not trash day, we will just lock the trash rooms. How about the carpet and walls. It literally looks and smells like someone pulled a Chevy 350 engine out of a 1974 Monte Carlo and drug it dripping oil and grease out of the elevator and down the halls of the 3rd and 4th floors. Does your 1000.00+ a month rent help with the upkeep of this or any of the common areas? No it does not. And finally management reserves the right to rent to anyone. Anyone, including drug felons in the same 5 bedroom complex. Not attending school, just prepay in cash a years rent. After Christmas break your students room gets broken into after a party thrown by said felon? Not their problem, that’s a police issue. Take it up with them. “No, we can’t, we won’t, we will not” these are the Uncommon talking points. So I definitely DO NOT recommend staying there. It’s not worth the cost, and definitely not worth the headache. Look anywhere else first, and avoid Uncommon.

I helped my friend move into Uncommon Boise, and the entire process was incredibly smooth and easy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming every step of the way. They made moving day feel stress-free, and we had such a great experience. Highly recommend!

Super overpriced for what yoy get the hot tub is always broken most the staff are super grumpy. On holidays they dont answer if you get locked out even though they say the will snd your screwed. They said we could get rid of the parking pass snd still charged us even though we were depending on that money and they said they wouldnt charge and they misinformed us so now we might be screwed by this place once again. Update! They reached out and Jill was extremely kind the most important thing I think is needed here is communication between staff. About 6 months into living here we put our own bed in and one of the front desk girls goes "hey you cant do that if you take apart our bed we will charge you" which makes no sense because we were obviously going to put it back so we asked to take to jacob that day to ask why this was said and he had no idea. it is pricey but if youre needing a good starter place for out of highschool and need it near campus and are able to make the rent its not bad i think for a married couple trying to start their lives its not a good place just because of how expensive and small the place is but it is advertised to college students so thats fair

The staff here is so welcoming and kind to everyone who enters the building! Delaney is specifically so helpful, I love seeing her at the desk when I'm walking through! The staff makes Uncommon so welcoming and homey, I would highly recommend.
