The Ellis Apartments, bloomington-in

The apartments are super clean, modern, and surprisingly quiet considering the location. The staff has always been very friendly and quick to help with anything, and maintenance requests are handled very fast. The location is also a huge plus! It’s very close to everything, but still feels tucked away enough to be relaxing. The amenities are kept in really good condition and the lobby is beautiful! Love love love!!

I really enjoyed my experience at the Ellis. The layout of the “studio” is perfect - you still have a “bedroom” without compromising your communal spaces. Parking is difficult, but there is a city garage a block away. That said, you’re downtown! I enjoyed being close to everything, especially the farmers market on Saturday morning. No complaints from me.

Beautiful building with a really nice gym. Plus the location is awesome—super close to downtown, the farmers market, campus, and all the bars. Really walkable and super convenient!! Love it here!

If you want the single worst management company me or any of my roommates have ever dealt with in Bloomington, extremely untimely fulfillment of maintenance requests, and the lowest quality finishes money can buy, I would strongly suggest living at the Ellis. Besides the fact that there is a garbage truck that comes every morning promptly at 6am to wake everyone up, everything we were told from start to finish by the people from Granite was a complete fabrication of the truth. The reviews for both The Ellis and Granite Student Living should speak for themselves. From multiple months of waiting for "parts to come in", to being promised we'd have a balcony, to the promise that there would be a grill in the courtyard, all things that were said over the phone ended up being complete lies. Not to mention, you can go to The Standard, Rive, etc and get top-tier amenities for the same price point. Do. Not. Live. Here.
