Terrace View, blacksburg-va

Lived here my sophomore year and renewed for my junior year. I love it here and it definitely feels like home! The location is convenient as multiple busses to campus pass through, the maintenance staff is super helpful and always nice, and the pool is great. They are also super pet friendly, I highly recommend terrace view!

WOOOWEE, talk about professionalism. The office staff actually care about the students living here. My Wi-Fi went out while living here and their response to my email of concern was insightful and helpful. I didn't realize that the property does not control our internet access, but I was informed of this with an email that wasn't condescending at all. In today;s world where people are on there devices and not social, living at Terrace View has really helped me find a place in the community. As a tech student and former renter, I have not lived at a property with more events or since of community. The apartments are affordable, and the maintenance staff helped in a timely manner whenever I needed to put in a work order. I had to call emergency maintenance number one day over the weekend and they actually helped how nice it is for them to help during their day off. Will recommend for any looking for a place to live in Bburg.

I took a tour here and had the best experience with out leasing consultant, Lilly! She was so kind and answered every question we could think of with (trust me it was obnoxious) patience and grace. Their pool deck looks AMAZING and their gym looked pretty new and well cared for. We're especially excited about the dog parks so our fur baby can get some exercise in.

I love living Terrace View. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, but the rent is a reasonable price. I live at one of their tier three townhomes and live right next to the leasing office. The staff is SO nice and they always provide activities for you to do. They have a gym that I use weekly, when the pool was open it was nice to use, they have a printer, free coffee, a study lounge, I think this complex has everything you need. We also had a maintenance issue not too long ago, but they came right away. They are on top of their request.

I would not recommend Terrace View Apartments. When we moved in, the apartment was filthy and clearly had not been properly cleaned. There was dog hair everywhere, scratches all over the floors, and the deck was rotting underneath to the point where we did not feel safe using it. What made the experience even worse was move-out. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment before leaving, yet we were still charged a “cleaning fee.” Considering the condition the apartment was in when we first received it, that charge felt completely unfair and ridiculous. Overall, the apartment was poorly maintained, the move-out charges were frustrating, and the entire experience felt like a scam. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
