My leasing agent Stormi was awesome! I had a smooth move in and had a few minor issues (my operator error for the dishwasher 😂) and noticed red wasps going in/out around my back porch. I let management know about it as soon as I saw it and they were immediately out with both maintenance and pest control! Reasonable rent for the area and amazing management company. I’m extremely happy with my new place and the landscapers are awesome too! All the staff has been friendly and professional and it’s a massive improvement over the slumlord that was the last rental I was in down south! I’m extremely happy with my move and the property location is absolute perfection! The property is quiet and well maintained. Mesa verde is close to downtown and UAB and I highly recommend the location and property management company! The maintenance team, property manager and landscaping communicate well between “departments” and the tenants (at least with myself I can’t speak for others lol). This is a welcomed change and refreshing to have owners and managers making sure things get addressed in a timely manner. I’ve been renting places for 35 years and so far this is in my top 5 experiences. If this continues I will definitely be renewing my lease again in 18 months!

I recently had a couple of issues that needed addressing soon after I moved in at Cahaba Hills. Based on prior experiences at other apt buildings, my expectations were low that the issues would get resolved promptly. Not only were the work orders created and submitted within minutes of my initial call, a member of the service team was at my door early the next day. He was efficient in diagnosing and resolving both issues. And he was courteous and professional every step of the way. Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Thank you!

I looked into H2 properties out of pure desperation, despite the horror stories. I was real with the leasing agent and she helped get me into a property that fit my needs and budget, even expediting the process when my living situation changed unexpectedly. Underwood Court is a pretty well maintained property, with the standard issues you would expect from a historic building in this town. I haven’t had any of the scary sewerage or mold issues I’ve heard about from others. On the one hand, maintenance has been pretty quick to fix things, like when the washing machine broke. On the other hand, I was very disappointed when I got locked out of my apartment one weekend after having surgery, and they would not send someone to unlock the door— despite my repeated requests and sharing I had cats to feed. Wine and cheese events are great, but those are the gestures that make people feel appreciated as tenants. Anyway, the apartment is roomy, cute, and in a great location. Considering my extremely low expectations, my experience with H2 has been largely positive. For anyone looking to rent, I’d advise waiting until after the new school year rush, when some of the nicer units start coming available.

I’m so excited to start living with H2! After searching for many apartments in the downtown area, I ended up leasing with H2 because of how great my leasing agent, Erica, was to work with. Her willingness to meet me at several communities, help me weigh my options, and find the perfect apartment for me shows she really cares and is great at her job!
