Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The “cheap” rent is misleading. You’ll end up paying an extra $100–$200 a month in electricity, so it’s not a good deal. I moved into a unit that wasn’t even properly cleaned, which is honestly unacceptable. On top of that, the property has ongoing issues like dog waste being left everywhere, and management doesn’t seem to enforce anything or keep the place in decent condition. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and not worth the money. I would not live here again and would not recommend it to anyone. The office staff I interacted with were very nice, I just wish the overall experience reflected that!

This has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve lived here for two years and this is just a glimpse of the issues I’ve had. First Year Issues: * Most appliances broke (dishwasher, washer/dryer, thermostat). I went without a washer/dryer for over two weeks—twice. If it weren’t for Amanda (a former employee who kindly let me do laundry at her own place), I would’ve been completely stuck. * Roommate situations kept getting switched at the very last minute. * Found a dead mouse in the vents that caused a horrible smell, on top of a constant mice problem throughout the year. * When I moved in, my unit was not even ready. I couldn’t stay in my own room for the first week because they had to replace the carpet. * They did not enforce handicap parking. After my ACL surgery in November, the handicap spots were constantly taken by non-handicap drivers. I reported it to the office multiple times, but nothing was done. I was left crutching through snow and ice from far away just to get to my building. Second Year Issues: The only reason I stayed for another year was because of the situation I was in. Instead, after resigning, I was kicked out of my original room and forced into another unit, only to find out my previous roommate had moved out, and I could’ve stayed. I was even charged a transfer fee (which I fought and they disputed). * No inspections were done when I moved in. My move-in date was changed multiple times, costing me time off work, until I finally insisted they just give me the keys. * Woke up one morning to being stung six times by a yellow jacket, only to discover a nest in the snack cupboard. * The maintenance crew themselves are great, but they are clearly overworked and understaffed. * Electricity bills were outrageous. For just two people, we were consistently charged nearly $500/month, far more than the building I lived in before next door. For more than half of the time, neither of us were there. We kept the heat at 61 or off entirely, called Consumers Energy and the office repeatedly, and both just passed the blame. Consumers gave me a “ways to save energy” pamphlet-completely useless. * The pool was closed for most of the summer and rarely maintained. * After moving out, I was charged $225 for paint and floor damage, even though the complex never provided any proof. The floor damage was a “tear” they claimed but was the indent of my dresser and then charged for spa shampooing of the carpet for stains that were non-existent on the carpet. They never provided proof of the paint damage. After much debate, I got it down to $50 for a trash out fee of lights. The whole complex: * The units had ongoing issues with mold that it would grow in the toilet after a day of cleaning it. * Hidden fees, rent may be $469 but you’ll be paying a lot more than that. * Management has switched yet again, and while they keep talking the talk about upgrades and improvements, they still haven’t walked the walk. Overall, the property is mismanaged, communication is awful, and residents are left footing the bill for problems that management refuses to handle. The only bright thing is the maintenance staff and Kate, who do their best but simply don’t have enough support. They call it College Town for a reason, the property is outdated, poorly maintained, and clearly run-down. Do yourself a favor, live literally anywhere else!

So far I haven't even moved in fully and I'm already regretting it. The apartment that I moved into wasn't remodeled so it looks a lot different then the demo room. I am actually disgusted in the living conditions of this place. There is tons of water damange, the cuboards are falling apart, the stove is rusting, the linoeum is peeling a breaking at the edges, my bedroom and bathroom weren't cleaned (there was literally mold in the toilet and shower), one of the the fire alarms isn't there so there are just wires hanging from the ceiling, my bathroom light fixture and much more. I had them paint parts of my room and now their are just splotches of paint that are a totally differen't color than the rest of the room. On top of that they make you have one person have the electric bill and then you pay the money to them wish is really shaddy because how do I know that these people are just met aren't scamming me? Why doesn't the billing office just keep tract of the electric for the unit and split it between the people living there on the same place that they pay their rent? Plus they make you pay a move in fee for what? It's literally just a money grab. So I DO NOT RECOMMEND

DO NOT RENT!!! TOTAL SCAM!!! - over priced (i ended up paying over 800$ a month) - roommates were all nearly 20 years older than me and didn't help AT ALL with electricity payments - balcony was next to the dog park which smelled like poop at all times because no one ever cleaned it - lied to about how the lease works by the tour guide and bean bag they call a manager - Woke up to maintenance people in my apartment at 8:30 in the morning who were not let in - no one is around on weekends or general nights if you have problems - was sworn at by the manager - nearly 200$ in extra fees I was never told about. Edit: found out two of my roomates are convicted felons now apparently

Maintenance was very helpful and quick to respond. Fix our hot water fast. The maintenance supervisor was friendly and very informative through the whole process. Thank you
