The Durant, berkeley-ca

I lived at The Durant from August 2021 to July 2022 while I was an international student at UC Berkeley, and I still have very positive memories of my time there. The location was extremely convenient for Berkeley students — close to campus, restaurants, cafés, and daily essentials. During my time there, I found the apartment modern, comfortable, and well-suited for student living, which made my year in Berkeley much easier and more enjoyable. I also appreciated the community events organized by the team, with games, food, and opportunities to connect with neighbors from diverse backgrounds. Even after I graduated and moved back overseas, whenever I had questions related to my former tenancy, the leasing office has been kind, responsive, and professional. I truly appreciate their assistance. Based on my experience, The Durant is a great option to consider for students or young professionals looking for a convenient and comfortable place near UC Berkeley.

I lived here in 2025. Overall, this is a great place to live, especially for students. The management staff is incredibly friendly and always helpful. Maintenance is exceptionally fast and responsive when issues arise. The location is perfect—super close to campus. The building features a beautiful terrace. However, the bathroom ceiling light and exhaust fan cannot be turned off. If you are renting a Studio, this is a significant drawback since the bathroom is only separated by a frosted glass door, so the constant light and fan noise may disrupt your sleep. However, if you are looking at a 2B1B or other layouts with solid bedroom doors, this won't be an issue at all.

I toured at The Durant and the staff (Naz, Corey, & Kennedy) were wonderful. This building is super close to campus and perfect for people looking to live in studios or 2 bedrooms. They also have a pretty nice roof with great views and a perfect place to host friends.

My child enjoyed their tenancy here. The building is conveniently located right around the corner from campus. We had a great experience with management. Angel from management has been a blessing to deal with.

Great location, overall a quiet area and just a 4 minute walk from campus. Perfect for those who want/like the clean modern look and lots natural lighting!
