I really enjoyed my time at Prospect. The Community Manager's were super friendly and helpful. The amenities are really quite nice - the building has been completely renovated, the furnishings are all new, the Kitchen is GORGEOUS, there is plenty of outdoor space (Main Floor patio, Second Floor patio & Rooftop Deck with views of the Bay). There are games in the lounge area, and it's literally right down the street from Cal Stadium. I enjoyed that Management provides all the household supplies, so I didn't have to worry about tracking down detergent, cleaning supplies, etc. I also liked that there was a flat-rate utility fee, so I didn't have to worry about separate utility bills every month. Housekeeping Staff clean 5x/week, which making household contributions way less for students than it would be in a traditional apartment. I would highly recommend Prospect to incoming Cal students.

I enjoyed living at Prospect. There are regular common areas clean up and I love that refill coffee, teas and other toiletries material in the house. The people and community managers are very warm and welcoming and the management team are very responsive with all of my questions during my tenancy period at Prospect. Love that there are 2 kitchens in the house! I would definitely recommend this communality to my friends.

My mom found this community for me last year. I initially didn't care what housing she will get as long as I have my own private room. Surprisingly, I am really happy and enjoyed living here. Some of the reviews here are funny, it wasn't like the kitchen is always dirty. Of course there are irresponsible tenants who use the kitchen and won't clean but it happens a very few times. The owners are super helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend, a hundred.

This is a review for 2430 prospect st. Honest review 1) Noise ALWAYS under construction. Imagine you have forced to wake up everyday 8am in sometimes including weekend. You rent an expensive single and couldn’t study in your house because the construction last forever(months already) I hope this construction doesn’t happen in final. The house is simply not ready. Maybe it will be ready next semester. 2) often out of water You pay water bill and it always pause your either water and often don’t have hot water. 3) not sure if they are all student Found a housemate for me that doesn’t even have a Cal1 card because she’s not really an undergrad or graduate student here, maybe just in some kind of program, I’m not even sure about that. 4) angry maintenance Give you a door lock that is low in battery every single week. When you got lock out, they are mad at you “so what should I do? You should have been telling me earlier.” While he doesn’t either pick up call or read text message. 5) Broken furniture Fridge leaking, they couldn’t fix it for a long time. The closet door fell by itself and almost hurt my toes. 6) highly disturbing. They tour your room so often and often give you notice today and want to tour your room tmrw. highly disturbing. The manager call you without prior messaging which is also disturbing. Conclusion: Avoid at all costs. The manager ask me to leave a good comment previously. But sorry, I don’t really want to leave a fake comment especially under this situation. Not the worst in Berkeley, but with the price of 1800 per month and couldn’t provide the basic things you should get(noisy, often out of water, constantly entering your unit to tour your room while you’re still living there, broken furniture) Just find another place .

My roommate & I both loved our time at Prospect last year!! The Community Managers hosted super fun events so we could get to know and be comfy hanging out with our housemates. The other reviews mentioning issues are totally blowing things out of proportion, alot of the kids going to UCB are rich bishes, LMAO. I cooked or baked in the kitchen often & it was a rare occurrence that somebody didn't wash their own dishes. It was taken care of if they didn’t! If I was still in Berkeley, I'd totally live at Prospect again! You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer house or better people!
