Parents, DO NOT ALLOW YOUR TEENS TO LIVE HERE! If I could give 0 stars, I would! My daughter stayed here 8/2025 - 7/2026 and it was not great. Upon move in, the apartment was filthy, the rug smelled like urine, the bathtub was stained as if it had never been cleaned, tile was lifting up off the floor, toilet was grudgy, and the kitchen was freshly dirty. It seemed as if the apartment was never cleaned prior to my daugther's move-in. Move out day, the elevator was out of service and has been for several months and we had to walk up and down several flights of stairs in 100 degree weather to move her things out. These people are money hungry with nasty attitudes.They added inaccurate fees to my account despite paying my rent on time, in an attempt to collect double from me. Every month there was an error with billing, they think I'm a moneymill. I still have yet to find out where corporate resides. SCAMMERS!!!!

I would only recommend living here if it’s your absolute last resort. Pros: * One of the cheaper apartment options compared to most places. * Within walking distance of LSU. * About 10–15 minutes from Southern University, depending on traffic. * Decently sized bedrooms. Cons: * I dealt with a roach infestation and contacted management multiple times, but nothing was done. * There was mold in my apartment. * My unit had numerous damages when I moved in. * Maintenance only seemed to fix minor issues. Larger problems took weeks of repeatedly contacting them to get addressed. * The gate is frequently broken, allowing anyone to enter, which is a major safety concern. * The walkways are often covered in trash. * Their payment system is frequently “down” or “broken,” resulting in surprise charges due to their errors. * My washer and dryer were broken for months. Maintenance claimed they replaced them, but it was only a temporary fix, no replacement, and they stopped working again a few months later. * The Wi-Fi was terrible from August through December, which made completing online coursework extremely difficult. * They add extra fees during the last month of your lease, causing your rent to increase unexpectedly. * They also charge outrageous move-out fees. I was billed over $850 for “cleaning” and “damages” that absolutely did not amount to that. Thankfully, I took photos and videos of my apartment before moving out. Please do your research before signing a lease here! Update: It’s been a week & no one has sent over any documents showing what was damaged & cleaned. I asked to see the damages in person, but they lied & said they had already been repaired/started repairing. (I still have a roommate who’s saying there and made it very clear they’ve only inspected no repairs have been made).

OTHER REVIEWS & SOCIAL MEDIA POST ARE NOT LYING PLEASE STAY AWAY !!!!! Parents do not let your child rent here because my mom fully regrets letting me with these hateful low life people. The only decent thing about staying at Alight is the rent pricing but they only have the deals on rent pricing because they cannot keep residents. There is way better housing & more affordable housing you should put your money to. They have too many apartments with mold that’s been painted over, they will trick you with their fake smiles at your tour, & overall moving into my apartment first day it was so NASTY which I have video footage of everything. The wifi is so horrible & it’s been numerous of times I couldn’t even watch tv or complete assignments without having to go to a friends house. This place has been all over social media for the way they do college students and it’ll only take a lawyer to handle them the correct way because it’s honestly so sad !!! Their “ security” guards also hate and are jealous of the college students that live there with their rude attitudes which got my lease wrongfully terminated which I will get handled the correct way. People cars get broken into & so much more. They don’t do nothing to help prevent it or put up better security measures and hardly any cameras if you truly needed them which is sad. If I could give 0 stars I would , unprofessional, not a place for students due to their rudeness , & lack of consideration for COLLEGE students who come from different cities / states. Jayla Ford is so rude and the corporate office responds to no emails , they will mess up your credit with unnecessary fees as college students, & they charge multiple people who move out with weird damage fees. I dealt with a nasty/ disturbing roommate that the leasing office knew was nasty and still kept her in my apartment after multiple complaints from me and previous roommates. They trick people with their fake smiles until you’re actually living there and it seems to me they actually pick with people that live there.

Toured this property while helping a family member find their new home, and despite being understaffed, the team made the entire experience feel very personal and welcoming. They took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring we fully understood all fees and next steps. The communication was excellent, and the property itself was clean and well-maintained. I also really enjoyed the property manager’s patience making this a seamless move in! Overall, a great experience!

Do NOT live at Alight Baton Rouge. This place had serious issues from the start. There was mold in the apartment that was never properly resolved, and the property was in unacceptable condition at move-in with trash, car-break ins and pet waste around the complex. The WiFi did not work for my entire stay despite multiple complaints, making it difficult to live and function normally in the unit. After moving out, I’ve been repeatedly HARRASSED by JYLA FORD (MANAGER) about an incorrect balance that was never clearly explained or resolved, along with unprofessional and hostile email communication. Overall, this was one of the worst living experiences I’ve had. I would strongly warn others to stay away.
