I'd like to recommend a 4-bed 2-bath apartment called HH Cresmont near the South Gate. It's in a great location—there's a popular brunch spot downstairs that's supposed to be really good, kind of like a trendy Instagram-worthy place. There's also a very close supermarket and a food hall-style restaurant called R House, similar to the basement food court in our shopping mall. The apartment comes fully furnished with all the essential furniture. The first floor has a print room, a recreation room, and a gym. The environment is relatively quiet but not desolate, and it's especially convenient for School of Education students—it's just a 5-minute walk to the classroom buildings. I absolutely love the large windows in the bedroom, which offer amazing views (as shown in pic 5). There's a small balcony where I can watch sunsets and clouds, and it's really relaxing. The customer service rep, Lu, has been incredibly helpful and patient with all my questions—highly recommend!

The facilities and location of this apartment are very good. It only takes 5-10 mins to reach JHU from the apartment. The property manager, Chelcee, was very responsive and provided timely answers to my questions about the security deposit. The customer service agent "HH Life" is also very friendly and helpful with the refund of my security deposit!

My experience at this apartment was good until the very last day. That final day destroyed all the positive memories and left me with lasting pain. Even five years later, thinking about it is still deeply upsetting. Before moving out, we did a thorough cleaning of the apartment. I noticed that no one had cleaned the microwave, so I decided to clean it myself. I brought a stool, stood on it, and gently wiped dust from the top with a cloth. Unexpectedly, with just a light touch, the vent cover on top of the microwave fell off. At that moment, the property manager, Rona, walked in and witnessed the scene. She immediately accused me of breaking the microwave and demanded that I pay for the entire unit, more than two hundred dollars. No matter how many times I explained that I had only lightly dusted it, she refused to believe me and insisted that she had seen me damage it with her own eyes. Later, I discovered that the fallen part was from LG, while the microwave itself was a GE model, meaning the part was not original to the appliance. It was likely not fitted or already broken. She did not believe this either. She even showed a contemptuous smile toward the repair technician, as if what I said was absurd. At that time, I had only been in the United States for seven months. After paying rent, my monthly living budget was about 300 dollars. Yet she demanded that I pay over 200+ dollars for a 3-year old microwave. In the end, I was forced to purchase a replacement part for 100+ dollars. I have never felt such injustice in my life. I cried alone late at night, and no one believed me. I will never forget the look of contempt she gave me in front of the elevator. In that moment, I felt completely helpless. I also regret that I did not know how to stand up for my rights back then. I contacted the apartment’s customer service for help, but they told me that the regional manager could not intervene in property management decisions. From my perspective today, that statement was completely a lie. Recently, the apartment sent out a mass message asking residents to fill out a survey. When I opened the message history, I was confronted again with what happened that year. Although five years have passed, everything remains vivid in my memory. If this were to happen to me today, I would take legal action against the apartment for improperly charging a resident. If it’s within the 3 year statute of limitations, I would sue you now.

It's a great place for the money. The apartments will have free coffee and also offer activities at times. I like this side, it's quieter all around the apartment.
