Union on San Antonio, austin-tx

Like any West Campus apartment, we ran into some issues living here. However, the difference with Union on SA is that they stay on top of maintenance requests and genuinely care about their residents. With the amount of people living here, you would think your concerns would get overlooked. However, the community manager, Courtney, has been OUTSTANDING. Her amazing communication skills and professionalism has made my stay here from slightly frustrating to now greatly enjoyable. If it was not for her customer service, I would not be writing this review. Additionally, the building itself is very nice, and definitely one of the most updated in the area. If there’s a few things I would be nit-picky about, it is that I wish there was more pantry space and bigger bedrooms. However, there are modern study rooms on virtually every floor, and the amenities cannot be beat. The proximity to campus as well as local food spots and grocery is optimal for west campus living. The view is amazing no matter where you are located in the building, and I would now highly recommend this apartment for students in the Wampus area.

The Union on San Antonio was the last housing facility we visited and it was, by far, the most impressive. Andy is the most friendly and helpful guide we encountered over the 3 days we were there. She even let us make sure my son’s truck fit through the parking garage. Facility is super close to campus, elite facility, next door to Marriott, the student apartments by which all others should be judged against!!! Don’t waste time going anywhere else, just go straight here!!! Trust me!

Avoid this place if you value your time and sanity. The elevators at Union on San Antonio are an absolute disaster. I have never lived anywhere where simply getting to and from my apartment takes this long. It is completely normal to stand in the hallway waiting several minutes for an elevator, especially during busy hours. Sometimes the elevator will stop at nearly every floor before finally reaching you, only to be completely packed when the doors open. For a building with this many residents, the elevator situation is unacceptable. What should be a quick trip downstairs turns into a daily exercise in frustration. I’ve been late to class, appointments, and work because I had to budget extra time just to get out of the building. There are days when it honestly feels faster to take the stairs, even from higher floors. The management seems either unaware of the issue or unwilling to do anything meaningful to fix it. Residents pay a premium to live here, yet something as basic as reliable elevator service is constantly a problem. This isn’t an occasional inconvenience, it’s become a daily headache that affects everyone in the building. The apartments themselves might be fine, but the elevator situation alone would make me think twice about living here again. If you’re considering Union on San Antonio, be prepared to spend a surprising amount of your life waiting for elevators. TLDR: DO NOT CHOOSE UNION ON SAN ANTONIO

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They will scam you every opportunity they get. I tried to get out of my lease 2 days after signing it due to an emergency and they asked for $2000 and a replacement tenant for the entire year when they had over 10 months to find a new tenant on their own. This is only apartment that doesn’t allow subleasing. If you want to “relet” you are still responsible for the lease and you must pay $2000 to “get out” of the lease you are actually still responsible for. They have lost multiple of my packages of high value only to pretend like they had no idea what was going on when I asked to review security footage. They make absolutely no effort to make your life easier as a tenant. In the lease, you aren’t even allowed to have a guest here for more than 3 days, otherwise you can be evicted. The elevators NEVER work, so you will be waiting 10-15 minutes each time you need to leave your house. Don’t give this place your money. They do not care about you and will scam you at literally any opportunity they get. Read every inch of your lease before you sign it because these people WILL take advantage of you.

I love the maintenance staff. Especially, Basilio Samudio. Basilio, including the rest of the team, are always so helpful with maintenance issues and provide the best care for our unit. I have been talking to Basilio for close to 2 years and he is always super cool and helpful! Thank you guys!
