I'm not going to lie this building has its flaws but from what I've seen recently they're definitely trying to fix it. The new management company has been very open with communications regarding the elevator and wifi issues and the upgrades they've done so far have been really nice. You really can't beat being only a 7 minute walk from campus and it makes it even better that the units are up to date and maintenance is super fast. I also have to shout out Ava at the front desk for being super helpful whenever anything has gone wrong. I'd definitely recommend Signature for other students!

This building feels like home, the floor plans are so comfortable and the amenities provide everything you could need. I especially appreciate the front desk, they’re all so helpful and kind. I would especially like to thank Ava, who is the cutest sweetest helper in the world!!! She helped me a lot especially with finding the best rates for floor plans as well as being so funny during our tour! Keep up the great work! WE LOVE SIG 🌷🐿️🌟

Had a great experience my first year here. They addressed problems very fast and I didn’t even need any maintenance throughout the year. I heard they are still doing renovations which is cool and we ended up resigning. Case at the front desk was always super helpful and addressed all of my needs and questions I had with anything.

I lived here for one year and moved because of the price. They are continuing to modernize and change everything for the better but do not realize how this affects the residents. The phone fob unlocking system; though modern and new it is unrealizable due to the glitchy app and scary if you’re phone dies and are locked out of the building. The new package retrieval system; they have lost many packages than I have actually received however I would mainly blame the delivery drivers on that one. Because of these new modern systems the price keeps increasing without keeping in mind it is primarily student living. Keep in mind the elevators are slow and if they break down and you’ll live on a high floor or physically cannot go up the stairs (like me) you will be stuck in the lobby for a while. This was one of my favorite places to live during school but the prices do not make it worth it. Would recommend touring the place if you have the means to though.

I think that this apartment does not deserve to be the subject of hatred, but it still has many problems to work out. The rent is very high for what you pay. You get somewhat brutalist, depressing room with cheap vinyl flooring. I rented a 5x5 for the cheaper price and I cannot imagine paying any more for this. I never had any problems with plumbing or clean water. The water is VERY hard, however. The basic necessities are there, but thats about where the good things end. The WiFi basically is unusable. I spend a lot of time in the PCL studying anyway, but if I ever wanted to do work in my apartment, it needed to be with a hotspot. They changed the WiFi various times and would do maintenance on it, but it always seemed to revert back to not working. The elevators are frequently broken. The most annoying thing was the change from a physical keycard to an app called Quext to be able to use the elevators. The spotty WiFi and the fact that you often can't get reception in elevators regardless made this extremely difficult to use at times. Thankfully, they just changed this to work with Apple Wallet. The cleanliness varied. Sometimes, after weekends and nights out, there would be spills and stuff on the floors that wouldn't get cleaned until after Winter Break. They seem to be doing better about that now. I think overall these apartments have a problem that many West Campus apartments face. It's a Herculean task to house so many students. As such, it makes sense that some things need to be cheap just because of how many units there are. For that, I'm not expecting this to be a Ritz Carlton. At the same time, however, Signature 1909 feels a little too tacky. It feels like a case of corporate greed, just trying to protect their pockets when they could spend a little more money for their residents. I wouldn't rent here again, but at the same time, I don't think this place is the source of any horror stories you may hear of West Campus housing. tldr: basic necessities are there, corporate greed is too. Rent is too high for what you get.
