I'm not going to lie this building has its flaws but from what I've seen recently they're definitely trying to fix it. The new management company has been very open with communications regarding the elevator and wifi issues and the upgrades they've done so far have been really nice. You really can't beat being only a 7 minute walk from campus and it makes it even better that the units are up to date and maintenance is super fast. I also have to shout out Ava at the front desk for being super helpful whenever anything has gone wrong. I'd definitely recommend Signature for other students!

This building feels like home, the floor plans are so comfortable and the amenities provide everything you could need. I especially appreciate the front desk, they’re all so helpful and kind. I would especially like to thank Ava, who is the cutest sweetest helper in the world!!! She helped me a lot especially with finding the best rates for floor plans as well as being so funny during our tour! Keep up the great work! WE LOVE SIG 🌷🐿️🌟

Don’t even bother signing here. Been here 12 months and got towed out of nowhere and had to pay $400 to get my car back. No warning at all. On top of that I had no hot water for 6 months. Maintenance came out 7 times and kept saying it was fixed but it never was. Just find somewhere else honestly.

Had a great experience my first year here. They addressed problems very fast and I didn’t even need any maintenance throughout the year. I heard they are still doing renovations which is cool and we ended up resigning. Case at the front desk was always super helpful and addressed all of my needs and questions I had with anything.

As someone who has lived at Signature for all four years of college, it honestly makes me sad to write this. I used to enjoy living here, but the last two years have been unbelievably frustrating. The so‑called “improvements” have been one of the biggest sources of frustration. Management removed the original fob and elevator key system and replaced every single door—the building entrance, gym, elevators, even our apartment and bedroom doors—with an app. On paper, that might sound modern, but in reality it’s a safety hazard. If your phone dies or gets lost, you’re locked out of your own home. And even when you do have your phone, the app is slow, glitchy, and unreliable. Something as simple as getting into your apartment has become a daily inconvenience. On top of that, the number of basic disruptions we’ve experienced recently is honestly shocking. Just today, we had no water for multiple hours with little to no warning. My roommate’s packages have been lost more times than I can count. And during these recent “improvements,” maintenance could enter your apartment at any time—often without proper notice—and move your belongings around to install things no one asked for: a new router, a new thermostat, new locks, all replacing systems that were working perfectly fine before. These changes wouldn’t be met with so much hostility if the actual needs of residents were being addressed first. For example, the elevators have been breaking down on and off for the past two semesters, and it’s common for only one to be working. In a 17‑story building with thousands of residents, that’s unacceptable. The front desk continues to blame an outsourced elevator company, but after more than a year of the same issues, that excuse stops meaning anything. At some point, it becomes a management problem. What makes all of this even more frustrating is the focus on cosmetic upgrades—painting the gym, renovating the lounge, installing the new lock system—while ignoring the problems that actually affect our daily lives. Meanwhile, rent prices have shot up egregiously over the past two years, with no improvement in the actual living experience to justify it. If anything, the quality of life has gone downhill. Management continues to send out apology emails, but after years of the same issues, those messages fall on deaf ears. If you can afford to live here, your money can be better spent elsewhere—somewhere that actually addresses the basic needs of its residents before rolling out flashy “upgrades” that no one asked for. In summary, if you are new to UT and looking for an apartment, DO NOT sign at signature - save your money and go elsewhere.
