Barranca Square Student Apartments, austin-tx

I lived here 2022-23 and it was great. Maintenance was quick and no pests. Only drawback is that the apartment door goes straight to the outside (safety concern) and laundry can be a hassle as there’s only 1 set of machines for all residents. The laundry machines also only take quarters which was inconvenient for me but doable. I would’ve stayed longer but they don’t offer short-term leases and make it hard to sublease.

I lived here for 4 years, and I loved this place. It's the perfect charming little studio. Management was always super nice and responsive, and maintenance super quick. I never had any issues living here. Even though I was ready to leave Austin, I wasn't quite yet ready to move out of the apartment I loved. Thank you Westside!

Living at Barranca Square has been great. The management has always been nice, whenever we put in a maintenance request they always send someone to fix it the next morning. The only downside is no dishwasher or in unit laundry, & the communal laundry machines do cost money. If you go into it knowing & are ok with these things, then you’ll be good. I’ve lived here a year now with no problems & am going to live here for another year.

2 doors drilled into, 3 cars broken into, massive brawl in the parking lot damaging 1 car, and I went through a home invasion at 4:00 AM at night. There is always trash in the parking lot and even on the second floors. There is no security, it is not a friendly environment to study, and the walls are hollow enough to hear people outside, inside, and even upstairs. I've had 4 panic attacks while living hear. Save the crippling anxiety and stress for your schooling AND NOT IN THIS PLACE

I lived here for a year. Management always went above and beyond to provide an outstanding experience. Great unit, no pests, maintenance was always super quick. Easily the best complex I've lived at.
