My daughter paid for a full year of parking in 9 Hundred apartment garage. Several weeks ago, her car was unexpectedly towed, even though she had the parking permit clearly displayed on her windshield. She was shocked to discover that her car was gone that morning. When she called the towing company, they told her the car was towed because one of the wheels was over the parking line. They claimed this rule was stated in the parking contract provided by Apartment 9 Hundred. Later, when she tried to discuss the issue with Apartment 9 Hundred, the staff member told her that this was actually the towing company’s rule. Essentially, both sides kept shifting responsibility to each other, and no one was willing to take accountability for such a ridiculous policy. As a result, my daughter had to go to the towing company and pay $300 to get her car back. Afterwards, she also learned that one of her friends had experienced the exact same situation and had their car towed for the same reason. The reason I waited until now to post this review is that I wanted to make sure my daughter had moved her car to another garage first. Otherwise, I was concerned that if Apartment 9 Hundred saw this review, they might find another excuse to tow her car again.

Been living here for over a year, and the switch of management that turned us into student apartments sucked. They renovated the units over the summer while tenants were still living at the apartment with no compensation, and they started charging $100 for parking even though it's a first-come, first-serve system. Not much to complain about, the units themselves are spacious and the walls aren't thin, and I believe all the rooms have windows. The maintenance people are incredible and efficient!

I love my personal space and my apartment as a whole. The appliances are new and everything mostly works great. The maintenance people are amazing, are super helpful and are all around great. My cons to this apt are that my roommate got snuffed with a window that faces the hallway. That wasn’t previously stated. Also the managers are young and can’t even hold eye contact when you speak to them, are basically rude and don’t do the things they say they will. Also the mail issue is tricky .

This management company is full of empty promises. When they took over, they announced all sorts of renovations. Since then, we’ve had a few hallways painted, and lots of maintenance issues. Our cars got painted by the painters, outlets went out, gates have been perpetually open and parking spots have been taken by “renovators”. These maintenance issues took months to fix, and this company has seemingly avoided our communication. While this used to be a good place to live, the price they are now charging is INSANE. For the price of these apartments, you’re much better going to a big name apartment building with actual amenities and modern floor plans. The website is full of stock images and false advertising, and the management company was indifferent to this once we called them out. I’m a college student without much money, so I’m willing to overlook a lot of things, but this management company has been nothing short of annoying, inconsiderate, and even sometimes deceitful. I recommend taking your business elsewhere. On a positive note, they seem desperate to fill their units, so you may be able to negotiate them down to a reasonable price.

If they are still owned by Texla Housing please read this: This is an example of a result of management renovating my unit. The apartment manager promised that everything would be put back to where they were but this is what I got. They also threatened to fine us if we prevented renovations in any way. They provided zero compensation for the week it took to renovate our apartment and I was basically homeless for a week begging for friends to let me live at their apartments. At least the Quarters gave their tenants somewhere to stay. A lot of things are also broken or missing after the renovations. They don't care about their tenants at all. They could've at least waited till August when I moved out. The manager has zero empathy and shifts blame to tenants. They also increased my rent from $800 to about $1100 and that is not including utilities. They try to make themselves look like a luxury apartment but they have zero amenities and the new floors, handles, paint are cheap. You couldn't even pay me to live here. The gates are always broken even though they say they will fix it so it's not safe. The communication is very poor with residents and they often change things like new locks/codes without telling residents till days later. I didn't even know where I was supposed to park for a whole semester and I still don't know which mailbox belongs to our unit since changing them. Everything smells so bad near the apartment and is very unsanitary. My toilet was filled with drowning bees when I got back for the summer. I am pretty sure that there is mold in the vents because I can't stop coughing whenever I'm there. Judging by the cheap renovations, you will definitely have a lot of things breakdown like the old washer and dryers and the maintenance people will just misplace your things when trying to fix these things. The distance is not even good. If you want similarly priced nice apartment, you will have better luck with Hilltop or Texan26. Do not live at their sister property 21 Pearl. They are all owned by Texla Housing. That place has an overall cheap feel and the management is also very unreasonable. It is also not worth the price they are charging given the materials in that place. 9Hundred is truly the worst of the worst. Texla Housing makes American Campus look like a charitable assisted housing program. Edit: After trying to put stuff back, we found out they ate half of our snacks and more furniture was broken beyond use. They didn't even do a good paint job, some of the paint is already chipping and there is dust and dried paint everywhere. They also rummaged through our stuff for some reason like in our drawers and boxes. Our underwear has dust too.
