If I could give zero stars, I would. My former unit became uninhabitable due to severe flooding, and management failed to communicate or take proper responsibility. I did not abandon or surrender the unit — I vacated because the flood made it unsafe to live in and caused significant damage to my belongings. During the recent inspection and cleanup, the maintenance worker struck my Ring doorbell camera with his phone, which caused the video feed to glitch and lose color. This is unprofessional behavior, and I have timestamped photos and video evidence of this incident. What makes the situation even worse is the retaliatory behavior I experienced afterward. Staff have: • recorded me unnecessarily, • acted visibly upset or irritated during interactions, and • torn down official notices instead of acknowledging or responding to them. This behavior is inappropriate and concerning. The most serious issue, however, is a clear safety and OSHA violation. After I recorded the camera incident, the same maintenance worker returned while performing duties and brought his newborn baby in and out of my apartment area while working. A flooded or previously flooded unit is considered a hazardous environment. Bringing a newborn into an active maintenance zone violates: • OSHA’s General Duty Clause (29 U.S.C. § 654(a)(1)), • basic workplace safety standards, • liability and insurance policies, • and common child safety protocols. No minor — especially an infant — should ever be inside an active maintenance site containing mold risks, electrical hazards, water damage, tools, or chemicals. This is not only unprofessional but extremely unsafe. The fact that I had to contact the Registered Agent just to get acknowledgment or proper documentation shows the level of negligence and lack of accountability happening on this property. Tenants deserve transparency, safety, and respect. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish, and I am still waiting for a proper corporate response and a resolution to the damages caused. I will continue to update this review as the situation progresses.

Edit 11/18: I have decided to go through the lease-break process. I am currently waiting on a final amount owed, but expect it to be in the neighborhood $7,000-$8,000 (1mo rent + repayment of the 10 week move-in concession, moving expenses, and cost of a new place). I am disappointed by the original response posted to this review from the 'Owner' offering a life-line and stating they would be willing to discuss the issue if I reached out to them. However, by the time I got a chance to read the full reply, it was removed and replaced with the generic apology letter that is currently active. I truly wish the current and future residents of this place luck. If you have nothing of worth, you'll probably have a great experience. If you have something worth stealing... good luck! Original Review: Beware the desert oasis in the middle of a dumpster fire. I want to start by saying I have no issues with any of the staff here at claro. There are some new construction headaches that are being remedied on an ongoing basis and the team here is doing a good job at keeping up with an immense workload. The staff in the front office and the maintenance team are quick to respond and friendly, even though they can be frustratingly bound by corporatized rules. What is not okay, is the amount of crime that I have experienced while living here. In 5 months I have been the victim of two vehicle break-ins on my work truck, and had my personal vehicle totaled by a street racer / hit and run incident. My total in theft and property damage is well over $100,000 at this point. (50k in tools and 50k for the truck). When speaking with Claro management, I expressed concern that my livelihood and job were in potential jeopardy, and asked that after 3 incidents in 5 months of living here, if we could come to an arrangement regarding breaking the lease so I could find a safer place to live. I was told that my reasoning was not grounds for a lease dismissal. Besides my incidents, one of my neighbors had their camper trailer stolen out of the paid parking lot, and I have found multiple windows broken out from vehicle thefts over my months of living here. By my calculations, it will be $6,000+ for my lease break fee to get out of here. (2 months rent, plus repaying any move in specials). Which may just be worth it at this point, if not only for my safety, but my sanity as well.

This would be a 0-star review if that were an option. Do yourself a favor and rent literally anywhere else. I have never had a worse experience with an apartment complex, and I genuinely regret signing a lease here. TL;DR - Unauthorized entry into unit / privacy concerns (pet cameras turned off, door left unlocked) - Poor management and disorganized staff - Frequent billing errors and unexpected charges - Package theft issues - Amenities often closed or unavailable - Poor construction and unfinished/defective unit features - Charged for normal wear and tear at move-out From the very beginning, management proved to be completely disorganized. The staff do not communicate with each other, so every employee gives you a different answer. You'll spend more time trying to figure out who is actually telling the truth than getting your issue resolved. There is absolutely no consistency or accountability. If you need help, good luck. They almost never answer the phone, emails frequently go unanswered for days, and the office is only open for a few hours during the middle of the workday. Unless you don't have a job, it's nearly impossible to speak to anyone in person. When problems arise, you're essentially left to deal with them yourself. The billing practices are just as frustrating. Incorrect charges and overbilling happen far too often, forcing you to scrutinize every statement. Additionally, we were explicitly told parking was free when we signed our lease, only to later have parking fees added anyway. It feels like the costs change whenever it's convenient for management. The property itself is incredibly poorly managed. Packages are routinely stolen with little evidence that meaningful action is taken. The elevators are constantly broken, turning something as simple as getting groceries home into an ordeal. Amenities you're paying for are closed an unacceptable amount of the time, yet rent never seems to reflect the lack of access. Entire buildings regularly smell like marijuana, making the common areas unpleasant and giving the impression that management has simply stopped caring. The complete lack of respect for residents' privacy was one of the most disturbing parts of living here. Staff entered my apartment on multiple occasions without notice for maintenance that was not requested and was neither urgent nor an emergency. During one visit, my pet cameras were turned off. I found that to be a rather uncalled for and suspicious action. As if that wasn't concerning enough, they left my apartment unlocked when they finished and walked away. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable and unsafe. The apartments themselves are nowhere near the "luxury" they're advertised to be. They feel cheaply built and rushed to completion. There were exposed edges, unfinished corners, and outlets and fixtures that either didn't work or were installed incorrectly. It was obvious quality control was either nonexistent or ignored. Then came move-out, where they added charges for "damages" that amounted to nothing more than normal wear and tear. After months of dealing with poor management, surprise fees, and constant headaches, it felt like one final attempt to squeeze even more money out of tenants. This was by far the worst apartment experience I've ever had. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and wasted money. There are countless better-managed apartments that actually value their residents. This is not one of them.

Do not waste your time coming to Claro at High Point Apartments. Walking into the leasing office was immediately uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The leasing agent, Viviana, had an attitude from the second I walked in and acted irritated the entire time. Asking basic questions felt like an inconvenience, and instead of helping, everything was made harder than it needed to be. The entire leasing staff came off unprofessional, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Nobody seemed interested in actually assisting potential residents or making the experience pleasant. Customer service here is honestly terrible, and the environment felt cold and negative the whole time. Moving is already stressful enough, and this place just made it worse. After this experience, I would absolutely not recommend leasing here.

Been here about little over a year, we love our apartment, maintenance does a great job anytime we have an issue “2” over the first year once when the refrigerator broke, fixed next day, and they fixed a weird noise on our garage. This is an apartment complex so every once in a while you might see something out of place “odd behavior” or someone testing the rules, but they quickly put a stop to it, the ladies at the front desk are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! If you want a quiet place to live and abide by the rules which are really quite simple than this is the place for you, if like to break rules, party all night and be loud and crazy, this isn’t the place for you because management here doesn’t play that
