I just want to give a huge shoutout to the maintenance team at Magnolia at Auburn! Every time I've submitted a maintenance request, they've responded quickly and gotten the job done efficiently. They are always professional, friendly, and willing to help. The entire team is always kind, respectful, and has a positive attitude whenever they come by. It's clear that they genuinely care about the residents and take pride in their work. Having a maintenance crew that's reliable and helpful makes such a difference when living in an apartment community. Thank you for all that you do, you are greatly appreciated!

I lived here for two years. I would not recommend it. Maintenance barely does anything. If they do it’s usually with an attitude. Most of the stovetop elements in my apartment didn’t work. The hallway leading to my apartment was almost always dirty with trash and food (one of my neighbors was fond of throwing eggs all over the hallway). There are only a handful of trash bins for the entire complex, leading to people having to leave their trash out by the bin. The “gym” they keep advertising is nothing special. I’d equate it to a hotel gym tbh. Most of the equipment there is broken despite them advertising it as newly renovated. Every semester I’ve been there, someone has broken either the front or back gates at least once. Oh and those gates also close at really odd times. They also don’t allow subletting, so once you’ve signed that lease you’re stuck paying it for the length of the contract. The internet was spotty when I stayed which was an issue whenever I had assignments to complete. I recommend staying somewhere outside of Auburn. It’ll be a longer commute, but it’ll also most likely be a much better experience.

I wanted to take the time to share my honest experience living at this apartment complex. I moved in on February 3, 2025, after being approved and having to pay double rent upfront, which I understood and expected. However, from the very beginning, there were multiple red flags. First, residents are not allowed to properly view the exact apartment before moving in, and there was no display unit to show what the apartments actually looked like. When I arrived, the outside area already looked poorly maintained, with bird nests hanging above the entrance and debris on the stairs. Inside the apartment, several issues immediately stood out. The shower head looked dirty and damaged, the stove was incomplete and partially broken, and maintenance had to be contacted right away despite the apartment supposedly being move-in ready. The laundry area was another major issue — instead of having an in-unit washer and dryer, residents shared one washer and one dryer between multiple apartments. The area was filthy, covered in spider webs, bugs, and poor upkeep. At one point, I even found a used condom in the laundry area, which was extremely disturbing. The cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable. Trash was often left outside, dog waste was found on the stairs, and there were ongoing issues with the toilet leaking black residue that required constant cleaning. Loud parties, disruptive neighbors, and suspicious people hanging around the property at night made the environment feel uncomfortable and unsafe. On top of that, management and leasing staff made residents feel uncomfortable, especially regarding rent payments and move-out concerns. Overall, this was a very disappointing first apartment experience. The property needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and management professionalism.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. It has been terrible for years, which is likely why they felt the need to rename the complex. The only positive thing I can say is the location-besides that, this place is not worth the price, especially compared to nearby competitors. You cannot reach the front office without physically walking up there yourself. TERRIBLE Something is always broken-AC, fridge, stove, washer/dryer, or the internet (ESPECIALLY the internet, which is absurd for student housing). TERRIBLE The property is unkept and unpresentable. There are areas missing sidewalks and a severe lack of dog waste bags. TERRIBLE The gym is tiny, outdated, and constantly missing weights/equipment. You're better off working out at home. TERRIBLE The entire property desperately needs remodeling. Rent increases every year, but there is zero effort put into improving the living conditions! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

Overall, I’ve had a good experience here. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially Braelyn, who has gone above and beyond. The maintenance team is also quick to respond and gets things done. Definitely appreciate everything they do! I love the pond so much and I can’t wait till the boardwalk opens again.
