Logan Square, auburn-al

Apartment is rather highly priced for lack of transparency when and how maintience will come in, often times taking weeks if the request is even fulfilled due to issues on the current website and communication between staff. Have had repeated problems with the AC unit over the entire two years I have lived in. Neighbors and overall community are not terrible... until they decided to party until 3 am and smoke weed on your doorstep. The office staff are always nice and wonderful, so the actual workers here are never the issue. Its mostly likely a higher up company owned problem. For the rent, there are places cheaper with more space if you are willing to drive to school. As for the ones who are forced to take the bus, it's a prime location for quick trips to and from auburn university. The choice of adding carpet was an odd one, college kids track mud and dirt everywhere and coming in to the apartment I had to deep clean the carpet. The walls have been peeling paint for the last two years. (However this might be from previous management choices). Scoring roommates is nice until you realize that the three rooms are vastly different in size and price. My own apartment would flood with smoke since its right beside the kitchen. I have lived here for 2 years. Although I have renewed my lease for another year, I sincerely wish I hadn't. This is because the owners have recently made the asinine decision to replace the normal locks with "smart locks." I can only assume that the new locks are veiled as a luxurious and convenient upgrade, but such notions could not be more erroneous. The new system blatantly forgoes safety and ease-of-use in favor of a nearsighted amplification of a cretinous "owner's" control and power. The new locks now require accessing an ill-designed mobile app every time one needs to enter/exit their unit. Without receiving proper notification of such changes, the renter is forced to now accept the burdens of: a situational inaccessibility to one's unit, a heightened danger to their well-being and personal belongings (of which the owner is in no way responsible for...), constant monitoring of their personal activity, and the nonconsensual collection of personal data. It is incredibly shameful that these changes are permissible. Why would anybody want to turn their frontdoor into an inconvenient, unsafe, overbearing, and negligent electronic "backdoor"? I strongly believe no one of a conscientious mind would be able to accept, or encourage, the implementation of these changes.

I've lived here 3 years, they raise your rent 100$+ every year, add "upgrades" that are really just inconveniences, the apartments are moldy and have bugs (they said I was on the list for pest control for roaches and no one ever showed up), and one year they made me move all of my stuff out for 15 days despite resigning a lease with them. The staff in the office is nice enough but corporate does not care or know what anyone who actually lives here needs. Expensive prices for apartments that should be cheap, and the "amenities" aren't worth the extra cost. The pool is tiny and always full of bugs, and the gym is disappointing as well. What prompted this review was the news that they're installing locks that open with an app. yes you have to download an app and hope it works to be able to get in the front door. No doubt this "upgrade" will mean the rent will be 100$ more expensive next leasing term. Save yourself the headache and the mold sickness and don't live here EVER.

If I could give this place a zero I would. My daughter has lived in the Logan Square apartments for 1.5 years and her place has flooded 7 times. Seven. It’s absolutely horrible. Fans, spackling, stench, repairs, wasted time and energy on this mess. So if you want to deal with that then sign a lease. If you want an enjoyable, peaceful living experience go somewhere else. This is just the truth. Update: By the time she moved out (7/2026) we were up to 9 floods.

This is the worst place an Auburn student could choose to live. The apartment has flooded more than 9 times since move in and the staff has been no where close to helpful. Because of the floods, furniture started to mold, but it just joined the mold that was already in the apartment air vents before moving in. Flooding not only occurred from the rain but also from the celling. On one special occasion when returning from class the entire ceiling was missing. In July, the replaced ceiling began to cave in which resulted in us having enough and moving out. Guess what? More mold was found when they took out the ceiling the second time. From the walls popping, to the amenities basically falling apart ( the sink isn't even held onto the counter), the worst thing about Logan Square has to be the staff. The staff expected July's rent in full when the ceiling and most of the walls were missing or else we would be sent to collections. The manager is useless and just states "there's nothing I can do". The health department even came and deemed the apartment unlivable on top of everything previously stated. Only live here if you hate your life and want to make it worse.
