Awesome place for students at Auburn. 160 Ross has lovely rooms, with large cupboards, great kitchens, lounge area, washer and dryer, freshly painted, new furniture, polite and responsive staff, and excellent amenities from grills, lovely pool, pool table and is very very well located. You can't go wrong. Don't know how this has 2.8 stars, and that should be ignored.

They will not be hesitant to leave your student outside in the cold for 1 hour every fire drill. Genuinely a horrible place to live. Noisy, internet barely works, walking is faster than taking the bus here, and rent is just not worth it. Maintenance is on the bare minimum side. Do not recommend.

My son has loved living at 160! Spacious rooms, so many amenities, quick turnaround on service requests. The AU bus picks up at the front door. How many state school dorms have a hot tub, gas firepit/fireplace, stainless steel gas grills, swimming pool, hammock bay, etc?!?

Getting a package on time from this place is physically impossible. I had a package come in and for 3 days I tried to pick it up but, “nobody was there to let me into the mail room.” Completely slow on everything and aren’t very helpful.

160 ross is a fine place to live. Alot of the staff here genuinely care and want to make sure its a good place to stay. There are kind and very nice people who work at 160 ross. But i would be remiss to not warn people who are considering moving in here / leasing here what entails with that pretty new price tag theyre putting on the rooms. Mold, biohazards, and a generally unsafe building is what you are paying big bucks for. An in building gym that doesn’t work save for 3 machines. Furniture that comes already damaged, appliances that have years worth of filth on them that no matter how hard you try to get off, it never will. Silverfish, mold- did I mention the mold? The building has a serious mold problem in most rooms. Ive been to at least three where the mold is a constant issue but staff does not take it seriously. There was a rottting piece of raw chicken on the second floor for 2-3 months, just sitting there. Staff knew about it, said “thats gross- that shouldn’t be there” and then the RA’s proceeded to leave it there until finally cleaning it up when the smell truly became unbearable. I knew of the chicken’s existence per labor day, and it wasnt until MUCH later in the semester that someone finally cleaned it. The building is always unlocked. Its almost an unspoken thing between all of us who live here that one of the doors to the building is open. For a month, they had the front gate to the parking garage left open for anyone to come in through. The doors to the building are either propped open or dont close properly. One of the front gates has a 50/50 chance of not even having to use your keycard for. This lax approach to security is probably due, in large part, to the fact that the police department is right across the street. But thats not an excuse. And the fire alarm went off twice for no reason at 12:30 AM three weeks before finals. This isnt a problem with the building but im pissed it happen.
