My experience with Catalyst Midtown and Campus Realty Management was extremely disappointing. Before I moved out, I contacted the office and was told that if I turned in my keys before an eviction was filed, they would not file an eviction against me. I relied on that representation and surrendered my apartment and returned my keys before any eviction was filed. The management company has acknowledged that I returned my keys before the filing. Despite that, they filed an eviction anyway. The eviction was later voluntarily dismissed, leaving me wondering why it was filed in the first place after I had already vacated the unit. To make matters worse, I was later told by the company that I owed $2,352.33, but I later learned that a claim for approximately $5,000 was allegedly submitted to Leap. I have requested an itemized ledger and documentation explaining the difference. Because of this eviction filing, I have experienced difficulty obtaining housing, even though the case was dismissed. If you’re considering living here, I recommend keeping detailed records of every conversation, requesting everything in writing, and saving all emails and documents. I hope the company will provide the requested records and resolve this matter fairly. This review reflects my personal experience with the property and its management.
