The Summit at Coates Run, athens-ga

I am a current resident here and I just wanted to say everytime i go into the office and see Brooklyn she is always there with a smile on her face and ready to help at all times. Overall the staff is absolutely amazing and makes me really enjoy living at the Summit!

I have been a resident here for about 2 years now and have loved living here! Clean facilities, great staff in the leasing office, and maintenance is more than willing to help in a very timely manner. I even had a flat tire that maintenance was willing to help me with after my car jack failed to properly lift my car to get the new tire on (huge shoutout to the two maintenance guys who came to my rescue!!). All of the staff are great at making sure residents are taken care of!

I’ve been living here for a few months, and I’ll start by saying that I really do like my actual apartment. My space is comfortable, the building itself is nice, and settling in was easy. I haven’t had any issues with my unit or with my roommates, which I really appreciate. That said, my experience with the property overall has been mixed, mainly because of safety and communication concerns. The parking areas are very dim at night, and it’s often hard to find a spot close to the building. Unfortunately, because of the poor lighting, my car area was broken into, and some of my personal items, including my cards, were taken. I reported it multiple times, but I never received any real follow-up on what they’re doing about it to prevent that from happening again, which was disappointing because it was a scary experience for me. More recently, after the break-in, I parked in a brighter “future resident” spot because I didn’t feel safe in the darker areas, and my car was towed overnight. That led to another unexpected expense. I still think this community has potential, and I enjoy my actual apartment, but I really hope management improves lighting, safety measures, and communication with residents. A little more attention in those areas would make a big difference in the overall living experience.

The rooms are nice, and my daughter took very good care of hers. Despite this, management nickel-and-dimed us constantly, ultimately charging us for normal wear and tear like "full paint" at move-out. We also faced misleading technicalities regarding tier-based rent pricing. When we respectfully challenged these fees, management took zero responsibility. I would never rent here again. Parents, look elsewhere.

Just got done signing a lease at The Summit. My son is starting OU Med School in August. The appointment was scheduled pretty last minute but Joel gave us a tour and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Beautiful area and accommodation for very clean and spacious!
