Mill Street Village, athens-ga

I lived here for about four and a half years and had a great experience with everyone there as they helped me. Stefanie and Linsey were great at the front office and helped me to get the best deals that I could while I was there. The maintenance staff was always helpful and friendly. I always felt safe there and it was a great location. I loved being right on the bike path and at a great nexus between the university and everything else Athens has to offer. I highly recommend living here and if I ever had a problem they were always quick to address it the best way they could.

Best apartment I’ve lived in. Staff was always friendly and responded almost immediately to any facility issues. Parking lot was recently redone and there were always more than enough spots! The unit was clean when we moved in and nothing ever broke. Laundry facilities were also clean and easy to use. Felt safe and was an amazing walking distance from campus.

Great place to live. Lived in the 1000 building (one bedroom) from 2023-2024. The management is really stellar here. The negative reviews of the past are definitely referring to previous management. The assumption when you move in is that this may be your first apartment, so they provide helpful tips on how to clean, how to be kind to your neighbors, etc. Most neighbors were very respectful and kept to themselves in our building. Our utilities including HVAC and internet were reliable. Maintenance work orders were always completed in a timely and efficient manner. Also, preventative pest treatments were applied regularly and pests were never even close to an issue for us. Mill Street Village underwent new ownership while we were there, but the people running things stayed the same. They revamped the website and added an option to pay online. They also use PayRange app for mobile laundry payments which is convenient. Of note, MSV is distanced from the OU party houses on Mill Street. It is closer to 1804 Way and situated directly on the bike path next to the Hocking River. It is a convenient walk to campus and very close to the highway leading to the shops on State Street, too. One drawback is that the parking lot will probably need repainted soon. However, we never had any issues finding parking spots as tenants, as parking permissions are heavily enforced there. The other thing is, if you live in the high-rise building with the single bedroom units, expect a building-wide fire alarm about every 1-2 months. If one unit’s alarm goes off, the whole building must evacuate for safety reasons. Luckily, there will soon be a fire station across the street, likely cutting the response time in half. Overall, MSV is a very serene, green, and pleasant place to live. I would highly recommend it to anyone moving to Athens.

My partner and I moved in for 3 months this Summer, as we needed a sublet before moving away. It's a very charming community here; super refreshing to step away from the undergraduate population and into a space that's more focused on families and graduate students. Management has been fairly helpful (and non-judgmental when I've locked myself out of the apartment 😭). Location is great, right on the bike path/river, easy access to Sonic, Jackie O's, and other businesses on Stimson, and very close to the library as well.

I have lived here for three years and have loved it! I live in a single. When I moved in, the carpets and laminate were brand new and the staff were super friendly and helpful with all the questions I had. Maintenance is always quick if you need something and the complex is pretty quiet. It’s a good walking distance from both grocery stores and campus, especially since there is access to the bike path. I would highly recommend!!
