If I could give this apartment complex negative stars, I absolutely would. Living here has been one of the most frustrating and disgusting experiences imaginable, and I genuinely would not wish it on anyone. Where do I even begin? The constant issues with maggots, mold, roaches, filthy hallways, and murky water make this place completely unacceptable. The conditions are unsanitary, unhealthy, and honestly shocking for a place people are expected to call home. On top of that, management seems more concerned with towing and booting residents’ cars than actually addressing serious living conditions. I’m a college student working hard just trying to get by, and despite having my vehicle properly registered, my car is constantly at risk of being towed or booted. In fact, this morning at 6 a.m., right before work, I walked outside to find my car booted yet again. The stress and inconvenience this causes is unreal. One of the worst experiences happened on a Friday night when my electricity completely went out. I went to the front office expecting urgent assistance, only to be told that it “wasn’t an emergency” and that I would have to wait until Monday. No concern, no urgency, nothing. Eventually, they moved me into a temporary unit, but somehow it was even worse. The entire apartment had a horrible sewage-like smell coming from the drains that never went away during my stay there — which lasted over a week. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and basic care for residents is beyond unacceptable. The hallways are filthy, the units are poorly maintained, and management consistently fails to take serious issues seriously. This apartment complex is, without question, one of the worst living experiences I have ever had. Save yourself the stress, health concerns, and constant headaches. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Just wait i'll be back to add more pictures after I get my car back .

Big thanks to the new maintenance team at 848 Mitchell! My water heater started leaking badly, returning to my apartment after my evening-classes to find water all over the floor. I called right away, and they came super fast—fixed the issue on the spot, soaked up every bit of water, dried everything out, and made sure there was no damage or mold risk. Professional, efficient, and no hassle at all. Shoutout specifically to the current team (not the old ones who might've let things slide)—you guys handled it perfectly and prevented a bigger problem. Appreciate the great service—highly recommend 848 Mitchell for anyone near UTA!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU LIVE HERE. The maintenance team and management has changed more than three times since I have lived here. I have had a leak in the AC room for the past two years where they come and “fix it” but then don’t actually address the problem. There is mold in the closet that blows directly into our rooms and they have not done anything about it. This is a health concern more than anything and it is ridiculous that nothing has been done about it yet despite multiple requests and going down to the office . I am just glad to finally be done with this place and gone. The new management team seems ok, but it’s honestly ridiculous how nasty they let this place get. Even the pool is closed and green and it’s the middle of summer…

I have lived here for almost 2 years now and while I think that 848 is one of the decent options to live in compared to other student housing options in the area, but for the price it should be better. The halls always have a strange odor to them (even prior to the current construction) and the floors are always dirty, even in the elevators. Also there is so much dog poop everywhere. Half of the parking garage is VIP parking and it really limits how much parking is available, its honestly annoying because most of it is unused. The front staff are pretty nice (in my experience) and maintenance usually responds within a day or 2 depending on how busy they are and how urgent it is (from my observations). I feel like I should also mention that management of the building has been changed over 3 times in the 2 years I have lived here, do with that information what you will.

I’ve been so busy trying to keep up with homework and assignments that I ignored all the problems with this place. But now that apartment 848 has been without Wi-Fi for an entire week, with no notice or warning, I can’t stay quiet anymore. I’ve had issues with these apartments since the day I moved in. The only reason I haven’t left is because they make it extremely difficult to break the lease. There’s mold in the walls, roaches everywhere, and my roommates and I ended up having to pest control the apartment ourselves just to finally get rid of them. Overall, this place has been a horrible experience, especially as a student who depends on reliable living conditions and internet access to complete schoolwork.
