My sister just moved to this place and this place is disgusting. I had a very disappointing experience with these apartments. The building is dirty and poorly maintained. As soon as you walk in, there is a strong, unpleasant smell. The hallways are filthy, and the apartment itself was not clean or move-in ready. The unit was disgusting and clearly not properly cleaned before move-in. Communication was also terrible. I was told I would be on the second floor, but on the day of move-in I was placed on the third floor with no warning. I was never allowed to see the apartment before moving in. If I had seen the unit beforehand, I would never have signed the lease. This place does not match what is advertised or promised. I regret signing here and would not recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a clean, well-managed place to live. Save your money and look for a cleaner place!

Triny was very helpful and kind making a great experience. Making the process smooth and easy with the showing of the unit and amenities. Explaining the prices and how the process goes and also helped me with my language barrier and speaking Spanish with me. Highly recommended Triny to help for anyone looking to get into the Social West. Great experience overall!!!

Where do i begin, the service here was a pleasant experience, ive been on the look for a new place and i might have found the perfect one here. My tour guide Triny, was professional and sweet while showing me around I can say the place kind of smelled like cat litter but thats something that can be fixed. Overall my experience with the tour and paperwork was fast and easy! 10/10 recommended if youre looking for a new home

Great experience with the maintenance team! Put in a request one morning and by the afternoon Nate had already been to my apartment and fixed the issue. Nate also called and texted me to notify he was entering my unit and kept me updated throughout the whole process, which was so nice! Would recommend living here!

Ive never in my life left a google review. BUT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!! let me just start from the beginning. I have a dog, and when I signed my lease I was told that I would be living with a female and that was all, when I finally get her contact info I texted her and found out she also had a dog(I wouldn’t have signed the lease if I knew there was another dog) , I feel like that’s something that should’ve been communicated before I signed my lease. This roommates dog was genuinely a demon in animal form. He attacked everyone and everything. He bit me , he bit my dog to the point he yelped. It wasn’t a one time thing it was multiple times. I mean even when she’d take her dog outside anyone that the dog would pass by he would lunge at( HENCE WHY I WOUDLNT HAVE SIGNEF A LEASE AND LIVED WITY AN ANIMAL I DONT KNOW/ AM COMFORTABLE WITH). And since we are on the topic of dogs and they like to tell people they are so pet friendly, then tell me why their dog park isn’t secure one bit. My dog escaped their fences twice, ( out of the maybe 6 times I visited total) all they have to do is slightly push the side gate and they are off. I made multiple complaints about it and nothing was done, let alone if you have a really small dog, they could easily fit under the crack of the side gate. I stopped going because one day my dog was all the way up by the highway and I was terrified. Never again Any issues with appliances ect, was just bandaged up and called a day. Anything that broke didn’t stay fixed for longer than a week period. The pool was closed basically the entire duration of last summer( they couldn’t even host their pool party the original date bc it was closed) tanning beds were always broken. During maintenance when I wasn’t home, I came back to my apartment to an xxl “social west Ames” t shirt I’m assuming maintenance I found in my closet. How and why in the hell is your shirt off in my apartment in the first place, I still have so many questions about that, and it makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable being a young female. That’s so not okay. I’ve even had past employees explain how terrible of a place it is to me which made me feel extreamly validated. Anyone I’ve talked to that has lived here has the exact same opinion, never once have I heard any good. I’m truly so disappointed and it was a waste of money, I’m sure you could find better for near the same price. . I’m trying to think of a positive to end off on and I really can’t think of any. I think the only thing I can say is.., it could’ve been worse. Anyways rant over, so glad I don’t live there anymore.10/10 don’t recommend. Go live at the quarters instead :)
