The best thing about living here—aside from the spotless grounds and top-tier amenities—is, without question, staff member, who goes by the name of Kim. It’s rare to encounter someone who doesn’t just do their job, but who embodies it with such sincerity that it transforms the entire experience of a place. Kim is genuinely helpful in a way that feels almost philosophical. In a world that often feels transactional and hurried, she is intentional, attentive, and profoundly human. Her presence is a quiet reminder that community isn’t built from concrete and steel—it’s built from care. Whether it’s coordinating maintenance requests with remarkable efficiency, ensuring packages are handled with precision and reliability, or navigating the countless in-between details that make daily life smoother, Kim approaches every task with grace and unwavering dedication. She is responsive without being rushed, thorough without being overwhelming, and understanding without ever being patronizing. There’s an authenticity to her service that feels like a breath of fresh air. Outstanding, dependable, compassionate, proactive, thoughtful—these words still feel insufficient. Kim listens. She anticipates needs. She communicates clearly and kindly. She follows through. In moments of stress or inconvenience, she brings calm and serenity. In moments of confusion, she brings clarity. In every interaction, she brings warmth. Living here feels different because of her. It feels supported. It feels seen. It feels cared for. Clean hallways and beautiful amenities are wonderful—but they are static. Kim is dynamic. She brings heart to the building. She elevates what could be a standard residential experience into something exceptional. And in doing so, she reminds us that the true luxury of any place is not just how it looks, but how it makes you feel.

I’ve visited The Hudson a couple times and taken tours and each experience has been really welcoming. Lashawn made me feel welcomed right away, and Kim was also amazing making the whole experience feel easy and inviting. I also really enjoy the resident events, they’re fun and thoughtfully planned. Overall, it’s been a great experience with great energy. Definitely recommend!

DO NOT LIVE HERE - Living at The Hudson Albany has been extremely disappointing. The building constantly has issues with cold or no hot water, and fire alarms go off at all hours of the night, including around 3 a.m., with no real explanation or resolution. The hallways are consistently dirty, often smelling like trash and weed, and there is pet waste left in common areas, which is unacceptable for a building that claims to be “luxury.” Noise is another major issue — tenants are loud at all hours of the night, making it nearly impossible to get proper rest. Overall, this place feels like a glorified dorm for kids living on their own for the first time, not a professionally managed apartment building. Management does not seem to enforce rules or maintain basic living standards. Definitely not worth the price

**DON'T CHOSE THE HUDSON: INSULATION ISSUE, RATS AND MORE. Living at The Hudson has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I feel completely disrespected.** I didn’t want to write this here, but I tried to resolve everything friendly and nothing was done. It is extremely humiliating to live with rats and be forced to stay quiet, to endure the cold in silence, trying to sleep but being unable to because of the cold. I moved into this condominium expecting a safe and comfortable environment where I could study peacefully at the University at Albany without any issues. However, since moving in August 2024, I have faced problems with **rats, large insects, and insulation failures**. Despite repeatedly raising these issues during the academic term, they were not resolved, and the situation was so exhausting that it affected my sleep. Now, I wake up feeling cold at night due to wind blowing directly onto my bed. The solution provided by the management to address the insulation problem has been entirely inadequate—they used to cover and, more recently, plastic sheets to seal the gaps where the wind enters through the door. Instead of properly repairing the open spaces behind the heating unit or relocating me to another apartment, they left the issue unresolved. I have repeatedly requested a **professional solution** through multiple channels—via the website, SMS, in-person conversations, and polite discussions—for **months**. However, I have been left to deal with the situation on my own. I am tired and am now seeking legal action to ensure they take proper measures. Ultimately, I had to endure this problem until December, when I purchased an **additional heater** at my own expense, along with solutions to block the holes through which rats were entering. Currently, temperatures in Albany range from **-10°C to -15°C (14°F to 5°F)**, and cold air continues to enter the apartment through open spaces or ducts, mixing with the warm air. I have been informed that this issue only occurs in my apartment. As a result, the heating remains **insufficient**, even with additional equipment. When I raised this concern again during these frigid temperatures, management visited my apartment, identified the issue, and placed yet another plastic covering, but failed to provide a meaningful solution. It has been **seven days** since I requested a relocation, and I am still waiting for their response. This lack of responsibility and disregard for basic living conditions is unacceptable. They claim there are no other available units, do not perform proper repairs, and refuse to move me to another apartment. In the photo, you will see a recent hole I discovered behind the stove, in the wiring duct where rats are entering. I had to stuff paper there myself. I had already reported that I was having issues with rats getting in from somewhere, but the passages were not investigated. I had to identify and attempt to resolve the issue on my own. I also bought additional traps to deal with the problem. The management called a pest control service, but it was only conducted for seven days, and after that, there was no further investigation into the holes or passages where rats might be entering. Additionally, I had to purchase a door seal to prevent large insects from entering the apartment. The condominium does not take serious measures to address this situation, and the fact that some residents throw trash on the ground as if it were normal contributes to the infestation of pests and insects. In the video, you will see a plastic sheet showing the wind coming from outside, which also enters through the duct where, theoretically, only warm air should be coming in. I strongly advise against renting at **The Hudson** if you value comfort and competent management. They will disrespect you. As someone living abroad, I expected a first-world standard, but instead, I have been treated as if I am nobody, despite being in the country legally to study.

I love living here! The management has been super helpful and maintenance and always nice and quick! My room came nice, clean and fully furnished. I love the 24 hr gym and having the parking garage is super convenient! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for student housing! I’ve already resigned for next year and i couldn’t be more excited!
