I moved here from Whitworth campus due to mobility issues for the last 8 weeks of studies and really couldn't complain as I found everything very accommodating for my needs. Having an ensuite was the game changer for me and despite a blip on day one when my shower was hotter than the surface of the sun - this was rectified within ten minutes of me making the call to maintenance. I had a great view of Whitworth Park and if there had been a better bus route past the building I would have given 5 stars. Walls are paper thin but being the last 8 weeks there was only one person in my block who thought that we all needed to know what they were doing and for 90% of the time they were out. For my requirements it was sufficient and I was grateful to have been moved.

Stayed here for 2021/2022 academic year, at an ensuite room for £159 per week. At that rate, I was very happy with the room provided. There were a few downsides I had, but overall, nothing much to really complain about. Plus, living with lads I knew for a long time made most of the negatives funny anyways. Bottom line: your flatmates will probably make or break your experience, so flat with people who you like. If you don’t like anybody, book all the possible rooms in the flat and pretend you own a house. The walls are paper thin. I can hear my flatmate raging when playing League(he has issues). Tons of desk & storage space which is great. The wifi speeds allow to me uninstall all my games under the guise of “I need to revise for exams”, only for me to re-install them again 30 minutes later at blazing speeds. The mattress is absolute dogwater though, and the sink in my bathroom is one of those primary school ones where they automatically turn off after you press them, as if you are a child. Even worse, they’re separated, so one is freezing, and the other gives you 2nd degree burns. They give out free stuff in the reception from time to time which is lovely; the constant supply of Rubicon helped me develop a caffeine addiction.

For nearly £200 per week, we lived with mice (for 7 months), bugs, and moldy bathrooms. When we moved in, the kitchen was nasty and we had to deep clean it ourselves. Still to this day, it has the same nasty smell that sticks to you, no matter how much we clean it (I was a professional cleaner). The lift broke for over a month and we received no compensation for it even though I live on a high floor. I paid half my savings to live here, so it's a slap in the face that sanctuary refuses to take responsibility and rips off students. Be prepared to live under a greedy company with no regard or care for their paying customers. The university should stop recommending shady companies. The photo shows mouse droppings on the counter!!!! And they expected us to just "stomp on the mice" to kill them! 🤢

This place is incredibly horrible. I paid 199 pounds per week this year, and I have to endure a lot of problems such as, noise(literally every week you can hear someone is yelling or talking outside. And you can hear your flatmate doing everything ), pests(mice is running in the kitchen, and spiders hang in your room), broken elevator(the elevator in my block had broken for the whole month, but they did nothing to it! Even without any compensation!) and extremely nasty bathroom(the first day when I moved in to this room, I was surprised by the bathroom. The black mold stuck in the wall and the drain was literally clogged. I had to buy mr muscle to clean the drain! I forgot to take videos of the inside of the bathroom but look at the picture of stove in kitchen. I took the picture of it when I arrived here immediately. It’s so nasty!) All these time, I had to endure this messy flat. Now it’s finally the time to leave here. Tbh, I feel a little bit relieved. If you decide to pay for this shitty place, please reconsider it. It’s absolutely not worth your money and time living here. 如果你也是中国人的话,相信我,如果你愿意花时间去找一找好的公寓,一定可以找到性价比更高的。这个房间实在小得可怕,完全不值得浪费你的钱和时间!避雷!!!

Lived here for a year, and honestly, welcome to hell disguised as student accommodation. Day one, we moved in and were greeted by a nasty, permanent smell, especially in the kitchen. Doesn’t matter if you clean it once, twice, or a hundred times, it’s basically part of the wallpaper at this point. And surprise, even on the 5th floor, we had mice. Yes, mice. Staff did absolutely nothing about it. Bathroom? Constant seepage in the shower area. Scrub all you want, it’ll still look gross. Raised it multiple times, management just “respectfully declined” to do anything. That’s their favourite phrase, by the way. They don't care. The elevator? Out of order for more than a month. No compensation, no urgency, just an email saying the contract doesn’t “involve” an elevator. Brilliant. So if you enjoy hauling groceries, suitcases, or just your exhausted body up five flights of stairs every single day, you’ll love it here. Overall, the place is overpriced frustration. Save yourself the misery and book literally anywhere else, unless your idea of fun is living in a smelly, broken-down flat with unhelpful staff and a side of mice.
