About this property

Mill Point

Mill Point Manchester Student Accommodation

Finding accommodation in Manchester isn't difficult. Finding somewhere that genuinely makes student life easier is another story. That's where Mill Point Manchester comes into the picture. Set within easy reach of the city centre, this purpose-built residence places universities, transport links, shopping districts and Manchester's famous Northern Quarter within comfortable walking distance, allowing you to spend less time commuting and more time making the most of university life.

Whether you're arriving in Manchester for your first year or moving into the city for postgraduate study, Mill Point offers a practical balance between privacy, convenience and community. With spacious en-suite rooms, inclusive bills and thoughtfully designed communal areas, it's a place where studying, socialising and everyday living fit together naturally.

About Mill Point Manchester

Every student approaches university differently. Some spend most of their day on campus before returning home to relax, while others split their time between lectures, part-time work, libraries and evenings out with friends. Mill Point Manchester has been designed to support all of those routines without making daily life feel complicated.

The accommodation focuses on giving residents their own comfortable personal space while also creating opportunities to become part of a wider student community. Every room comes with a private en-suite bathroom, so you'll always have your own space when you need it, while shared facilities throughout the building encourage residents to meet, work together and unwind after busy days.

The study lounge provides a quieter environment when deadlines begin to pile up, while the common room and social spaces make it easy to take a break without leaving the building. Those shared moments often become one of the best parts of university life, whether that's chatting over coffee, watching television together or meeting people from completely different courses and countries.

Living at Mill Point also means having Manchester itself on your doorstep. From independent cafés and music venues to shopping centres, restaurants and green spaces, the city becomes an extension of your student experience rather than somewhere you only visit occasionally.

Mill Point Manchester Address & Location

Choosing accommodation in a city as lively as Manchester is often about finding the right balance. You want to stay close enough to university to keep commuting simple, while still having easy access to everything that makes student life enjoyable outside the classroom. Mill Point delivers exactly that.

Living in Manchester

Manchester has earned its reputation as one of the UK's leading student cities for good reason. Universities attract students from around the world, creating an atmosphere that's energetic, diverse and constantly changing. Each neighbourhood has its own personality, from the independent businesses of the Northern Quarter to the busy retail streets around Market Street.

Living at Mill Point Manchester means many of those places are only a short walk away. Whether you're picking up groceries before heading home, meeting classmates after lectures or exploring somewhere new at the weekend, getting around rarely feels like a challenge.

Market Street Tram Stop provides excellent connections across Greater Manchester, while nearby bus services make travelling around the city equally convenient. Manchester Victoria Station offers direct rail connections for students travelling home during holidays or planning trips across the UK.

Daily essentials are easy to manage too. Several city-centre supermarkets are close by, making grocery shopping quick and convenient. Manchester Arndale Shopping Centre offers everything from fashion retailers to electronics and restaurants, giving you plenty of options without needing to travel far.

Food is another highlight of the neighbourhood. Students often find themselves exploring the independent cafés around the Northern Quarter between lectures or stopping at popular local restaurants such as Evelyn's and Cane & Grain after a long day on campus. When it's time to unwind in the evening, pubs including The Crafty Pig and Wilson's Manchester offer relaxed places to catch up with friends.

If you're looking to maintain a healthy routine, PureGym Manchester City Centre Northern Quarter is nearby, while Cathedral Gardens provides a pleasant green space whenever you need a break from busy city streets. Manchester Central Library remains one of the city's most recognisable study spaces, and Manchester Royal Infirmary is within convenient reach should healthcare ever be required.

When moving in my room was filthy, there was literal spit smeared underneath my side table. I cleaned it all myself. I had endless issues with my flatmates, one where my flatmate literally cornered me whilst drunk and all she got was a warning. The place is filthy and a mess. The whole place is a mess. The washing is a rip off and leaves your washing smelling of damp and must, there are spiders EVERYWHERE and is just generally unclean. Some of the staff can be nice but I’ve experienced so much rudeness. The worst place I’ve ever lived honestly would never recommend

your room will grow mold no matter how hard you try to prevent it due to the fact there’s no extractor fan or window in the bathroom and the only window in the flat opens 2 inches. if you’re in b1 i wish you luck the lift was broken for majority of the year so if you have friends who can’t walk up stairs or even just live on the top floor you’re done for. extremely overpriced and prays on clearing students as it’s often the only option left, they tried to increase the price to £245pw but unsurprisingly no one was booking it so put it back down

I’ve had a really positive experience in this student accommodation. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is convenient, and everything is well managed. A big thank you to the team Kaki , Ayoub and Gamze for being so friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout my stay. I truly appreciate all your support!

Do not recommend if you actually plan to study or sleep before 12 in first year. Music from nearby keeps you up ALL NIGHT, and laundry is a rip off, Staff are nice tho.

From a parents point of view. My son has lived here since September. I was worried when I read some of the reviews but when I went to see it myself my mind was put at rest. For student accommodation it is absolutely fine. Nice size room and en suite which is a plus. Great communal kitchen with all facilities and plenty of space. It is very secure needing a key card to get into the grounds then again to get into block, again to flat and lastly the room. My son said that reception are helpful and have taken in parcels for him. He also said that the internet is good. Some reviews have mentioned rats. When I went to visit I can see the receiption has vermin boxes dotted around so the problem is being managed. My son hasn't seen any around. It is expensive but that is because of the location. You are right next to Piccadilly train station which is great for trains and tram. He’s close to supermarkets and the arndale centre. Also a few gyms nearby. He has everything he needs on the doorstep. He is very happy there and will be living there next year too.
