Shoutout to Samantha, Michael, and the rest of the team for a great stay! Everyone was friendly and helpful, and any issues raised were solved quickly, if not instantly. The accommodation was well-kept, and had a really positive atmosphere - truly felt like a home away from home!

The place is kept running thanks to the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff, Samantha, Michael and others. However, problems that are beyond their competence, i.e. problems related to the accommodation itself (e.g. broken items in your flat or room), take a long time to resolve or are sometimes ignored. The appliances are not new, but they are usable, although they do not always work. Pest control is good: there was a mouse in my kitchen, but it was dealt with quickly. The price is also at the higher end of the scale.

Would give 0 stars if Google allowed it. The room I was given looked like it hadn't been painted since the '60s, the mattress was grey, wardrobe hinges were rusty and about to fall off, door lock was barely working, and the shared spaces hadn't been cleaned for over a month. Because of all these issues I decided to compare the room with what was mentioned online and I also realized that, even though I had originally booked a platinum en-suite room (13 sqm) I was actually given a gold (11 sqm) room. When I asked the manager about this, I was told that the system had apparently "made a mistake" and I was given the option of reduced rent which I declined, stating that I want to cancel my tenancy. The contract explicitly states that in such cases, Park View MUST refund any payments already made (about GBP3000 in my case), however, the manager refused to give me a refund, saying that I have to find a replacement tenant (again, the contract stated the opposite). I emailed the company on September and I was ignored for weeks until the end of October when I threatened legal action and also initialized a charge-back request with my bank. I finally got my money back after about three months because the charge-back request was successful after an investigation by the bank. Do not book a room here if you value your time, money, and sanity.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. The convenience of the location is amazing, a short walk to the University or to central town of manchester (so you can sleep in more), a short walk to a whole long road of diverse shops that you can eat out or do your shopping. Let’s not forget about the park beside it so lovely or the art gallery. The staff themselves are so cheerful and welcoming to all people, they are quick to work on stuff and make you (even introverts) feel confident. Park view considers all diverse people and hold many diverse events such as new lunar year , welcome international students. They also cleverly provide small jobs for students to make extra cash and gain experience such as student warden which i find amazing and it is very flexible. Overall, this place is somewhere i would definitely choose and stay again and again. The best student accommodation of the year I say!

I wouldn’t recommend living here if you value your wellbeing or expect any real support from Res Life. When a situation happened at my party, instead of checking in to make sure anyone was okay, Res Life staff showed up just to try and catch people doing something wrong. It felt like they were more interested in punishing students than protecting or helping us. On top of that, communication was constantly aggressive—harsh emails with no effort to understand the context. It created a hostile environment instead of a supportive one. Maintenance was a nightmare too. My shower was always either scalding hot or freezing cold, and my room tap burst three times, flooding my floor. Each time I had to wait until the next day to even get it looked at. Overall, this place made living here way more stressful than it needed to be. Res Life should be focused on helping students, not policing them.
