Be warned future students… The bedroom i got faces a brick wall, which i acknowledge is out of anyone’s control, however, i would have appreciated at least being let know that i will get ZERO natural light whatsoever. The kitchen is too small for two people, let alone four. We are only provided with one small fridge which was incredibly cramped for everyone in the flat. The worst of it all, there are no windows!!! it gets incredibly hot. The worst of it all is the mould issues. The shower room was COVERED in black mould which had already been given the landlord special upon moving in. This problem was reported numerous times, maintenance came in and simply painted over the black mould which obviously continued to grow afterwards. The last time it was reported, maintenance just stuck some vinyl over the mould, which continued to grow out of. (as shown in pictures) The shower drain is constantly blocked, so im basically swimming in mould water every time i try to shower. The bedroom also has a really bad mould problem, which I have tried to fix myself with anti mould spray, but the mould is PERSISTENT! (also shown in pictures) The lifts were broken for months, meaning I had to lug heavy shopping up 14 (floor 7) flights of stairs! There is no communal space in most flats, it would improve them greatly if the (tiny) kitchen wall was taken down and turned into a kitchen/communal area. For an entire day, without warning, all water to the buildings flats went out entirely. No flushing, No showering, no water from any sinks; the entire building was simply told to use the gym bathroom (1 toilet), which at all times had an extensive queue (BIG SURPRISE!!) The bedroom walls are incredibly thin. Picture this - Your flatmate sets an alarm beginning at 7am and ending at 10am because he sleeps through the alarm (and the knocking on the wall to get him to turn it off) EVERY DAY FOR THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR!!! it drove me absolutely up the (thin) wall!!! Also bare in mind, said alarm could be heard from two rooms down the flat. The flat/bedroom inspections are really frustrating. I was given a window of time (4 weeks) that my bedroom would be inspected, which had me very anxious, how was I to know if maintenance would come knocking while im in bed, trying to study, or changing?? They never gave an exact date that my flat would be inspected, and never stated if they had already inspected, which kept me on my toes for the majority of my stay. VERY invasive. I dont appreciate having my space ‘inspected’ while im a grown adult renting out a room. Another thing, though out of dwells control, I consistently heard a man hysterically screaming a couple flats below me. I dont really know what he was on but it was actually quite scary, as though he was having some sort of mental break.. It would be nice if the lights in the hallway were able to be switched on and off, they are really bright and can be seen under the bedroom door at night since they flash on and off for no reason. (also pictured, very moldy caulk in shower. disgusting.)

Slightly off the beaten path location, it's in a side street. Access is OK, A concierge is on the front desk.

Please avoid this accommodation. They have rooms facing the bar which operates until late night, and the staffs did nothing about it despite receiving noise complaints. Poor condition of the rooms, the toilet, and VERY POOR ventilation in the kitchen. Also be careful and double check the room type that you chose, because they will randomly assign you the room type that is not your initial choice. Overall, very bad experience.
