This is someone who is willing to guarantee your rent payments on your behalf. This is standard practice with student rental properties due to your employment status. A guarantor is signing the tenancy agreement confirming that they are guaranteeing your obligations in the contract.

Is WiFi provided and how fast is it?

WiFi is provided in all of our accommodation, and is accessible in each room of the property. Your WiFi access is included in your monthly rent. The average speed we try to offer is 300MBPS, however please note that due to the nature of WiFi speeds may vary depending on proximity to the router, the nature of the usage and the number of devices connected at any one time. You can check the speed of your WiFi at any time via our customer portal which has instructions on how to do so. If you would like to know specifics about WiFi provision at one of our properties, please ask your point of contact in the Lettings Team.

Can I move in earlier than my contract start date?

You will not be able to move in before the start date of your tenancy.

Can I end my contract early?

You are committed under your tenancy agreement to pay the full contracted rent, unless you can find someone to take over the remainder of your contract and there are at least 6 months remaining on your tenancy agreement

Had a maintenance issue with our 2 bedroom flat, reported on the weekend, and they were very quick to respond and the following Monday someone, Called Sam, came over to fix it. Didn’t even take more than 10 minutes to fix and was already done. Really appreciate the quick response to fix the issue

Sam from the maintenance team at Student Cribs was incredibly helpful. He was already at the house carrying out a different job when I mentioned that some of the drawers were jammed. He immediately took the time to come and have a look, which I really appreciated. He was friendly, professional, and went out of his way to help. Excellent service and a credit to the maintenance team.

Worst flat I have lived at in my 3 years at university. Every flat is full of mould, cold and damp. Issues take months to be sorted and nothing is taken serious. £700 a month for a room. Awful. Would not recommend and students should find a better place to live than here, overpriced and not taken care of. Not to mention the 0 privacy.

I have lived in Chancellors Court, Manchester for the past 2 years in two different flats. It is a very clean and well maintained accommodation with really helpful staff that are on hand to help anytime you need. All of the facilities that I have used have worked extremely well and I have never had any major issues. Room sizes are great, with lots of furniture provided for storage. It is very secure with fob entry at multiple doors before you get to your own flat door. Its very well located with a big supermarket on the same road and the bus route at the end of the road. The staff are happy to accept deliveries on your behalf at their office so there is no worry about missing a delivery.
