About this property

Elizabeth Croll House

Elizabeth Croll House London Student Accommodation

Finding student accommodation in London usually means weighing up several practical details at once. How long will the journey to university take? Will the rent cover the main household bills? Are there places nearby to shop, study, eat and spend time after lectures?

Elizabeth Croll House London puts students in King's Cross, where these everyday needs are easier to manage. The residence offers a choice of studios and shared flats, giving students different ways to approach their living arrangements depending on their budget and how much private space they want.

With King's Cross St Pancras close by, several universities within travelling distance and plenty of shops, cafés, libraries and outdoor spaces around the neighbourhood, Elizabeth Croll House student accommodation gives students a central base for life in the capital.

About Elizabeth Croll House

Accommodation becomes part of your routine very quickly once university starts. Your room becomes the place where you study, rest and organise your day, while the facilities around it can determine how easily you manage everything outside lectures.

Elizabeth Croll House student halls offer both self-contained studios and shared flats, so students can choose between greater independence and a more communal setup. Studios come with their own facilities, while shared flats give residents the opportunity to live alongside other students and use shared spaces together.

The property also has dedicated study rooms and a common room, giving residents alternatives to spending all their time inside their bedrooms. You might use the study facilities when coursework is piling up, then head to the common room when you want to take a break or meet other residents.

Practical services are part of the setup too. On-site laundry, maintenance support, bike storage, secure entry and security facilities are available within the residence. For students comparing halls of residence in Elizabeth Croll House, these details can matter just as much as the room itself, particularly when you're planning to stay for an entire academic year.

The location adds another layer to the accommodation. King's Cross puts residents close to major transport connections and within reach of several universities, while supermarkets, cafés, libraries and places to spend your free time are spread throughout the surrounding area.

Life at Elizabeth Croll House London

Living at Elizabeth Croll House London means having one of the capital's busiest transport areas close to home. King's Cross St Pancras Underground and Railway Station is nearby, giving students access to several Underground lines as well as National Rail services.

Angel Underground Station and Russell Square Underground Station provide additional options, while Farringdon is also within reach for students travelling across London. This can be useful when your university, placement or part-time job is in a different part of the capital.

The neighbourhood works well for everyday errands too. Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's Local, Co-op Food and Marks & Spencer Simply Food give students several choices for groceries and quick food shopping. You don't have to plan a major trip every time you need something for the kitchen.

There are plenty of places to stop for coffee as well. Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero and Starbucks are familiar options, while independent cafés around King's Cross and Pentonville offer alternatives when you want somewhere different to sit with a laptop or meet a classmate.

When you have some free time, the area has plenty to offer. Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard are close to King's Cross and have shops, food venues and places to sit by the canal. Exmouth Market and Camden Market are also useful options for food, shopping and spending a weekend afternoon.

Students who prefer quieter surroundings can walk along the Regent's Canal Towpath or spend some time at Coram's Fields. These places provide a change from the busy streets around King's Cross without requiring a long journey.

The area also works well for students who like keeping active or studying outside their accommodation. PureGym Angel, The Gym Group King's Cross, UCL Bloomsbury Fitness and Kings Cross Nuffield Health Gym are among the nearby fitness options. The British Library, UCL Main Library and SOAS Library also give students access to major study and research facilities within the wider area.

Why Choose Elizabeth Croll House Student Accommodation?

The location is a major consideration, but it isn't the only reason to look at Elizabeth Croll House accommodation. The property combines different room types with facilities that cover studying, socialising, security and everyday tasks.

Some of the practical reasons to consider the property include:

  • Studios and shared flats for students with different living preferences.

  • King's Cross location with Underground, rail and bus connections nearby.

  • Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi, broadband and content insurance included in the rent.

  • Dedicated study rooms for coursework and revision.

  • Common room for meeting other residents or taking a break.

  • CCTV, secure door entry, on-site security and 24-hour security.

What's Included at Elizabeth Croll House?

One of the useful parts of comparing student accommodation is checking exactly what is covered by the weekly rent. At Elizabeth Croll House accommodation, several of the main household expenses are already included.

Your rent covers:

  • Electricity

  • Gas

  • Heating

  • Water

  • High-speed Wi-Fi and broadband

  • Content insurance

Having these costs included means students don't need to arrange separate utility accounts after moving in. It also makes the accommodation cost easier to account for when planning a weekly or monthly student budget.

For anyone comparing Elizabeth Croll House with other private student accommodation in London, inclusive bills can be particularly useful because household costs in the capital can otherwise vary throughout the year.

Facilities at Elizabeth Croll House

The facilities at Elizabeth Croll House student accommodation cover the parts of student life that tend to matter most during a busy term. There are spaces for studying, areas to spend time with other residents and practical services that help with everyday tasks.

Study Facilities

Dedicated study rooms give residents somewhere to work when they need a quieter setting away from their bedroom.

They can be useful for:

  • Coursework and assignments

  • Revision before exams

  • Independent study

  • Group project work

Having a separate study area can also help students keep some distinction between where they work and where they relax.

Social & Communal Spaces

The common room provides a shared area where residents can meet other students, catch up with friends or take a break after lectures.

For students living in shared accommodation, spaces like this can also make it easier to get to know people outside their flat.

Security & Resident Support

Security is another important part of choosing student accommodation in central London. Elizabeth Croll House includes:

  • 24-hour security

  • CCTV monitoring

  • Secure door entry

  • On-site security team

  • On-site maintenance support

These services give residents support within the building while also helping keep access to the residence controlled.

Laundry Facilities

An on-site laundry means students can take care of washing without having to find an external laundrette. This can be particularly useful during busy weeks when fitting everyday errands around lectures and coursework is already difficult.

Bike Storage

Secure bike storage is available for residents who cycle around London. With King's Cross and several university areas within cycling distance, having somewhere to leave a bike inside the residence can be useful for students who regularly travel this way.

Utilities & Connectivity

The main household utilities and internet services are included within the rent:

  • Electricity

  • Gas

  • Heating

  • Water

  • High-speed Wi-Fi and broadband

This keeps the number of separate household payments down and makes weekly accommodation costs easier to track.

Additional Facilities

Residents also have access to a few smaller facilities that can be useful during the week:

  • Vending machines

  • Recycling facilities

These aren't major features of the property, but they add a few practical touches to everyday living.

King's Cross St Pancras is particularly useful for students who travel outside London during university breaks. National Rail services connect the area with destinations beyond the capital, while the Underground network makes getting around London more manageable during term time.

Many nearby destinations can also be reached on foot. For students attending institutions in Bloomsbury, King's Cross or surrounding areas, walking can sometimes be quicker than taking public transport for shorter journeys.

Although the residence has its own study rooms, students sometimes prefer working somewhere else. Several libraries are accessible from the property.

  • British Library

  • Courtauld Institute of Art Library

  • UCL Main Library

  • SOAS Library

  • Islington Central Library

The British Library is particularly useful for students who need access to extensive research collections or simply want a change from studying in their accommodation.

The location also means students aren't limited to venues immediately around the property. London's central transport connections make it easy to reach other parts of the city for evenings out.

Is Elizabeth Croll House Right for You?

Choosing student accommodation in London usually comes down to what fits your routine rather than simply how impressive a property looks. Elizabeth Croll House student accommodation works particularly well for students who want a central location, straightforward living costs and enough facilities to manage university life without having to organise everything separately.

Students Who Want Central London

King's Cross is a practical area for students who need to travel around London regularly. With King's Cross St Pancras nearby, residents can reach universities, libraries, workplaces and other parts of the city without relying on a single transport route.

For students whose course involves placements or teaching across different campuses, this can be especially useful.

Students Choosing Between Private and Shared Living

Elizabeth Croll House offers both studios and shared flats, so students aren't restricted to one style of accommodation.

Studios suit those who want their own kitchen, bathroom and living space, while the two-bedroom flats offer a shared setup for students who would rather live with someone else. The range also means there is a noticeable difference in price between the lower-cost rooms and the more expensive studio options.

Students Who Want Bills Included

Keeping track of several household bills can be difficult during a busy university term. At halls Elizabeth Croll House, electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi, broadband and contents insurance are included within the rent.

This gives students a clearer idea of their regular accommodation costs before the tenancy begins.

Students Who Need Somewhere to Study

Not every student wants to work from their bedroom, particularly during exam periods or when several assignments are due at once.

The dedicated study rooms at Elizabeth Croll House accommodation give residents another place to work. The location also puts students within easy reach of the British Library and several university libraries, so there are plenty of alternatives when they want a change of setting.

Students Who Value Practical Facilities

The property includes several facilities that deal with the less interesting parts of student life.

On-site laundry, bike storage, maintenance support, recycling facilities and vending machines are all available within the residence. Security is also covered through CCTV, secure door entry, on-site staff and 24-hour security.

For students comparing halls of residence Elizabeth Croll House with other central London options, these practical details can be just as relevant as the room itself.

Students Looking for Access to King's Cross

Elizabeth Croll House London is suited to students who want to live close to one of London's major transport areas while still having shops, cafés, parks and study spaces nearby.

The combination of central transport links and everyday amenities means students can keep much of their routine within the surrounding area, while the rest of London remains accessible when needed.

Conclusion

Elizabeth Croll House brings together the main things students generally need from accommodation in central London: a well-connected location, different room types, inclusive bills and facilities that support everyday routines.

For students comparing Elizabeth Croll House student halls and other options around King's Cross, the choice of private studios and shared flats gives the property flexibility across different budgets and living preferences. Dedicated study rooms, communal areas, laundry facilities and on-site support add to that practical setup.

With universities, libraries, supermarkets, cafés and transport connections all within reach, Elizabeth Croll House London gives students a straightforward base for their time in the capital.

I have been staying here since September 2019. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a cosy, convenient and supportive accommodation in central London. The room is good enough to facilitate all daily functions. The receptions are super nice and prompt, which offered a sense of secure when living and studying in a new country. Especially after the pandemic there has been very effective procedures taken to make sure that the residents are safe. The neighborhood has plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, fitness studios, local markets, subway stations, bus routes...all that can make the life here quite enriched with new excitements. A worth-every-penny choice if you want to enjoy the study in London.

Stayed here for from 2024-2025, the room was quite cozy and I enjoyed my stay. The reception team was very welcoming, and Louise was especially kind and helpful. The maintenance team was very efficient, responded to maintenance enquiries usually on the same day or the next day.

Have been here for 3 years and I really love my room, and I even regard here as my home😭😭😭 What I really love here is the receptionists. They are really helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. I have reported the problems with my radiator for several times, and every time when I reported to them, they looked for the workers to fix it asap. We have built a great friendship with them. Facilities are mostly working properly, and they hold many home party activities as well!! I’ll definitely miss everything here when I leave😭
