Picking student accommodation is usually about more than the room itself. The distance to university, the weekly rent and the things already included in the property can all make a difference once lectures, assignments and everyday errands become part of your routine.
The Green is located on De Walden Way in Bradford, giving students access to the University of Bradford, Bradford College and the city centre without having to live far from campus. The property has a mix of en-suite rooms and townhouse rooms, so students can choose between more private accommodation and a shared setup.
With weekly rents starting from £75, bills included and useful facilities on site, The Green Student Accommodation offers a straightforward option for students who want to keep their living costs manageable while staying close to university.
Address: De Walden Way, Bradford BD7 1BD, United Kingdom
The Green Accommodation is situated close to Bradford city centre, with universities, shops and other everyday services within reach. The location can work particularly well for students who would rather spend less time travelling and more time around campus or in the city.
Bradford has plenty to do outside university as well. When you need some time away from lectures and coursework, Bowling Park gives you open space for a walk or a quiet afternoon outdoors. It is located at 263 Bowling Hall Road, Bradford BD4 7TL.
Piddle Puddle at Centenary Square is another nearby place to visit. Centenary Square sits in the centre of Bradford and is surrounded by several of the city's cultural and public buildings, so it is also a useful meeting point when catching up with friends.
For students living at The Green Bradford, having the city centre within reach means everyday trips do not have to become long journeys. Groceries, food, shopping and other regular errands can all be worked into a normal day around university.
There is no single type of student who looks for accommodation at The Green. Some will be more concerned with keeping rent low, while others may prefer an en-suite room or want shared spaces where they can spend time with their flatmates.
The property covers several of these needs through its room choices and on-site facilities.
Some of the main reasons to consider The Green include:
Room options ranging from townhouse accommodation to private en-suite rooms.
Weekly rents starting from £75.
Electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi included in the rent.
Communal kitchen for shared cooking and meals.
Outdoor courtyards for spending time outside.
On-site laundry facilities.
Car parking for residents.
On-site security.
Close proximity to Bradford city centre.
Access to nearby University of Bradford and Bradford College campuses.
Having these facilities within the property can make a difference over the course of an academic year. There is no need to look elsewhere every time you need to do laundry, prepare a meal with your flatmates or find somewhere outside your room to sit for a while.
The Green Student Accommodation has six room categories, with prices ranging from £75 to £132 per week. The lower-priced townhouse rooms may suit students who want to keep accommodation costs down, while the en-suite options give residents their own bathroom.

The Classic, Premium and Premium Plus Townhouse Rooms are suited to students who are happy with a shared living arrangement.
You have your own bedroom, while the wider townhouse setup gives you communal areas to use with other residents. This can be a good fit if you like having people around and want some interaction at home rather than spending most of your time in a self-contained room.
The three townhouse options also give students some flexibility on price, starting at £75 per week for the Classic Townhouse Room and reaching £132 per week for the Premium Plus option.
Students who would rather have their own bathroom can choose between the Classic Ensuite and Premium Ensuite.
The Classic Ensuite starts from £85 per week, while the Premium Ensuite starts from £99 per week. Both retain the shared side of student living, while the private bathroom gives you a little more separation from the communal areas.
For students who want to meet people and share parts of their accommodation but do not want to share a bathroom, this arrangement offers a sensible middle ground.
The Deluxe Room starts from £132 per week and sits at the higher end of the available room prices.
It is an option for students who would rather spend a little more on their accommodation in exchange for a more spacious room. The additional space can be useful when your room doubles as your place to study, relax and keep your belongings throughout the year.
One of the simpler parts of living at The Green Accommodation is the way the main household bills are handled.
The weekly rent includes:
Electricity
Gas
Heating
Water
Wi-Fi
Having these costs covered means students do not have to set up separate utility payments after moving in. It also makes comparing room prices easier because the advertised weekly rent already accounts for the main household services.
For students working with a fixed monthly budget, this can be particularly useful. You know what the core accommodation cost is each week rather than having to estimate how much electricity, heating or broadband might add to it later.
A student accommodation property becomes part of your routine very quickly. The useful facilities are often the ones you end up noticing most, whether that means having somewhere to cook with your flatmates, getting laundry done without leaving the building or having a secure place to return to at the end of the day.
The Green Student Accommodation has several facilities that cover these everyday needs.
The shared areas give residents somewhere to spend time outside their bedrooms.
The property includes:
Communal kitchen
Outdoor courtyards
The communal kitchen can be used for preparing meals and spending time with flatmates, while the outdoor courtyards provide an alternative when you want some fresh air or a change from being indoors.
The Green also includes a number of practical facilities used throughout the year:
Laundry on site
Parking facilities for cars
Site security
Near Bradford city center
There are on-site laundry facilities, so students may get the washing done without a separate trip. Car parking is also a good feature for homeowners who come with a vehicle. On-site security is another practical element added to the property.
The distance between accommodation and university can shape a student's daily routine. A shorter journey can make it easier to return home between classes, stay longer on campus for group work or fit other commitments around lectures.
The Green Bradford is within reach of several higher education campuses in the area.

Students attending the University of Bradford have access to both the City Campus and Emm Lane Campus from the property. Bradford College students can also reach their campus without having to live far from their place of study.
For students deciding between different The Green Accommodation options, the university distances are worth considering alongside room price and facilities. A property that fits your budget is useful, but so is being able to manage the journey to class day after day.
The right student accommodation is about what’s most important to you. Some students wish to keep weekly rent cheap, while others are interested in their own toilet, shared spaces, or bills included from the beginning.
The Green Bradford is a good option for several of these goals, with diverse room types and practical amenities at the hotel.
The cheapest room choice at The Green is the Classic Townhome Room, from £75 per week.
The Premium Townhome Room starts at £81, and the Classic Ensuite is from £85. This allows students on a lower budget a few choices to consider rather than forcing them to one room style.
The townhouse rooms are suited to students who don't mind sharing parts of their accommodation.
You have your own bedroom, but the shared areas give you the chance to cook, eat and spend time with other residents. This can make the transition into university life easier for students who enjoy having people around.
The Classic Ensuite and Premium Ensuite rooms both come with private bathrooms.
Starting at £85 and £99 per week, respectively, these rooms cost more than the basic townhouse options but give you your own bathroom while retaining access to communal areas.
Rent at The Green Accommodation includes electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi.
That means the main household costs are already covered rather than being divided between separate bills. For students working with a fixed budget, having these expenses included can make it easier to keep track of monthly spending.
The Green Student Accommodation in Bradford has several facilities that can help with the less interesting parts of student life.
On-site laundry means you can take care of washing without travelling elsewhere. Car parking is available for residents with vehicles, while on-site security provides an additional feature for students returning to the property late.
The outdoor courtyards and communal kitchen also give residents areas to use outside their bedrooms.
Living at The Green puts students within reach of Bradford's everyday amenities as well as places to spend time away from university.
Parks: Bowling Park is a wide green area for walking and resting outside. Another site to visit in the city center is Piddle Puddle at Centenary Square.
Shopping: Shops and everyday retailers providing food, clothing and other needs in Bradford city center.
Food: There are restaurants, cafes and takeout alternatives in the city center, so students have lots of choice of meals outside the property.
Entertainment: Centenary Square is one of Bradford’s key meeting points, and is surrounded by cultural venues and public spaces.
Universities: The University of Bradford and Bradford College are only a few miles from the site.
The Green Bradford gives students a choice of room types rather than expecting everyone to follow the same style of living. The Classic Townhouse Room starts from £75 per week, while en-suite and higher-priced options are available for students who want more privacy or additional space.
The main household bills are included, covering electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi. On-site laundry, car parking, security, a communal kitchen and outdoor courtyards add some useful extras for day-to-day life.
For students who want to live close to Bradford's universities while keeping accommodation costs and household bills straightforward, The Green Student Accommodation is worth considering. The different room options also make it easier to choose according to your budget and how you prefer to live during university.

CONVENIENT LOCATION, DISAPPOINTING SECURITY AND MANAGEMENT I chose The Green because of its university affiliation, convenient location, and has a reputation from the university. Unfortunately, my experience raised serious concerns about security, maintenance, and complaint handling. During my stay: • A non-resident was able to enter the building and access a student's room. • Someone entered through the rear entrance and stole all food from the shared kitchen area. • Smoking repeatedly occurred inside the accommodation despite multiple reports. • My building regularly lost hot water, and a broken heater took almost two weeks to repair. The most frustrating part was not the incidents themselves, but the lack of effective follow-up. Complaints were acknowledged, apologies were given, and promises were made, but practical solutions often failed to materialize. Staff were generally polite and sympathetic. However, there seemed to be a constant cycle of Home Office referring issues to Security and Security referring them back, with little accountability or visible resolution. Security is the most important factor when living away from home. Based on my experience, I did not feel that The Green handled security and resident concerns to the standard I expected. This review reflects my personal experience only. I encourage prospective residents to compare accommodation options carefully and make an informed decision.

I lived here for almost five months. My building had everything I needed. The room is just the right size for one person, with plenty of space to store your belongings, and I think it’s comfortable too. The kitchen was cleaned about once a month by a team of cleaners, and we tenants made sure to clean it every time we cooked. My relationship with the other girls was always friendly, and this is where I made my first friends!! The office staff were always there and ready to help whenever I needed them. Some of the hobs weren’t working, but after two weeks they were working again. The laundry room is large and works very well; it isn’t always clean, but I think a lot depends on how it’s treated by those who use it, more frequent cleaning shifts could be scheduled, especially at weekends. One thing that didn’t work was the bathroom, or rather, the flush in the bathroom opposite mine wasn’t working and still isn’t, so everyone ends up using mine. I don’t know if it was a problem related to the repair time. That was the only downside. It’s a quiet place with facilities that work, the common areas are tidy, and the relationship with the flatmates depends a lot on who lives there and not just on The Green!! I enjoyed it, but I know of some people for whom that wasn’t the case.

Really unique and most of the time enjoyable experience. I love the townhouse with only 5 flat mates, very spacious and private would 1000% recommend staying there. There are really fun events and free goodies from the office; the staff are so easy to talk to and once you get to know the, they’re so fun especially Ella and Chloe who are so helpful. Maintenance can be slow but taking in account the old building and how many rooms it’s not that’s bad but they do get the job done. One of the best part is the wildlife creatures like the geese that you can watch grow up and leave. The downside is that the residents do litter which does attract rats but they were quickly sorted out. There are fun people and parties. It’s super close to the uni too and unique fitness as well as Bradford town. Honestly do like the benefits so much I’ll deffo be staying here until I complete university.

Lived here for three years and loved every bit of it. Special shoutout to Lee. He looked after me a lot and helped me a lot in many ways. Other than that it is a lovely place to live. Made many memories here with people from many backgrounds and cultures. A good advice to the coming students to book here asap. It is right in the uni and you will never be late for classes.

Very easy to communicate with the staff when they are there but can always call them and they do pick up. Be very careful who you room with especially in a townhouse with 12 people as you’ll deffo have to fight for kitchen space. Maintenance is slow but they deffo get the job done. The best part is honestly the Hesse that poop everywhere and follow you around trying to bite your shoes. Great place to live if you go Uni of Bradford and wanna use the gym facilities too. There always events and free stuff which is so great and free cleans as well. Honestly there are a lot of bad things but honestly not anything that’s unfixable. Claire, Lee, Ethan and Ella are so fun to talk to. Would recommend
