Caledon Court, aberdeen

The two stars are for the staff and the rooms themselves, I had multiple scenarios where the staff were lovely, remembered my name, and were extremely polite, and the rooms are quite nice, relatively small for the price if you’re in a shared flat like i was, but enough space for what you need. However, whilst staying there during the 23/24 term i must have encountered about 50 fire alarms in the dead of night that woke me up. These were always a cause of drama in the residents group chat that created tension. If you want to wash your clothes, best believe you’re waiting until an ungodly hour to have access to a washer or dryer. If you’re moving into a shared flat alone, beware, I had multiple instances where my flatmates would party, not clean up after themselves and would take no responsibility. Upon moving out, i was the first to leave the flat. This meant that before I could leave, the shared living space and my room had to be exactly the way i found it. I had no help from my five other flatmates with the shared space and half of them were staying at home somewhere in order to avoid responsibilities. Security took ages to turn the alarms off, events were few and far between, and my sleep pattern was broken for months.

Its ok. A bit pricey for student accommodation, but is directly across from Gray School of Arts. Daughter complains that the smoke alarms go off all the time. The smoke detectors are placed pretty closest the cooking facilities, hence going off all the time. In her room (she had a disabled ground floor studio) the windows were so draughty even the blind would constantly move. Another complaint was the washer and dryer facilities. They would take her money but would not function. I would have to take her clothes home and wash/dry every couple of weeks.

Caledon Court Is truly the top student accommodation in Aberdeen. The social space is very welcoming. The university is across the road and the bus is regular to take you in and out of city centre. It has all i need. A special shout out to the team who are professional. Mention to Joe who is so enthusiastic about the accommodation. I am happy to reccomend to students.

Very good experience so far. Rebooking your room with your friends is easy. The area is quiet and so so close to the uni (no reason to be late at all) pool table and cinema room. Also joe has been awesome and makes it all very easy for us.

I had a viewing with a friend and we are very impressed with the property. The studio is very nice. The facilities are very good and modern. The location is excellent for the university. I also have to say the staff were also very good and knowledgeable. Jo was very enthusiastic and helpful. He created a good environment for us and was very friendly. My friend will definitely book and i would also if i had not booked already. I would say Calderon Court is one of the best student accommodation i have seen in Aberdeen
