I’ve had a really good experience staying here. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist whenever needed, which made a big difference during my stay. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and it had everything I needed. The amenities were also great and made living here very convenient. Overall, it’s a well-managed accommodation with a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it to other students looking for a comfortable and reliable place to stay.

Amazing accomodation. I have stayed at True for the past two years and it has been an absolute pleasure to stay there. Whenever there was any faulty with the showers or the lights, it was always so simple to go to reception and have it fixed within 10 minutes. The staff were always so lovely and accommodating. I also frequented the gym quite a bit and I would say it’s very peaceful and quiet in the mornings. Additionally, the rooms were much more spacious than other accommodations I’ve seen with nice facilities such as the tvs and the liftable ottoman beds. Although quite far from uni, there was always buses outside every hour to both campuses. To conclude, True is one of the best accommodations in Swansea by a long shot. Thank you to the staff for the past two years.

I wanted to leave a review for any new students joining Swansea uni in September 2026. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough! I have a studio room which is a very reasonable price at £189 a week (I think). I have a double bed with storage underneath, a tv, plenty of cupboards, a wardrobe, a private mini kitchen (my favourite part as I would hate cooking in a shared kitchen) which has its own fridge freezer (although the freezer is rlly small but enough!) a microwave, a hob and cupboards. I would recommend taking an airfryer to function as your oven. My en-suite bathroom is stunning with a spacious shower, modern looking toilet and sink, and a huge mirror with LED lights around. Overall my room feels extremely modern and cozy. Some more things I love about living at true: there is a river walkway which is a great spot to study when the sun is out and me and my partner like to go fishing here which is ideal for us. There is a pool table, slide, table tennis, swings which can be great fun. There is also a dart board in block 2. Block 2 is a great study area when you don’t want to study in your room but you don’t want to go anywhere either. It’s modern and feels almost like a trendy cafe, especially when they put food on sometimes. True offers some great events which I don’t attend much as most of my friends live elsewhere but the events sound amazing and there’s something for everyone. They recently had a karaoke night and they do lots of quiz nights. Other events include arts and crafts and foodie stuff such as a waffle bar. One of my other favourite things about the accommodation is the free gym. It’s as good as any big commercial gym with all the weights and machines and other equipment including a punching bag! Amazing money saver for a student trying to be healthier. There is a bus stop just outside the accommodation which can be a bit iffy with service, this isn’t true’s fault though. During term time the buses run pretty good but sometimes they are late or might not turn up. Again this is a problem with the bus company. The next bus stop is outside St David’s accommodation just 10 minutes down the road so that is always an option. As far as location, everyone said it’s really out the way before I moved in but when I got here, it’s actually in a perfect place! You have kilvey hill at the back which is stunning to look at, the river of course, the closest shop is 5 mins away at st David’s and parc tawe is just another 5 mins from that which includes shops like Lidl, Aldi, farm foods, Iceland, home bargains, b and m. Parc tawe also has more social places like the cinema, restaurants, plantasia (like a mini zoo) and from Parc tawe, it’s a 5 min walk into the town centre ideal for big shops like primark. True is also close to the train station, go to st David’s and see the big car park (which has a morning car boot on Sundays!), go up the stairs and the train station is right there! I’d be careful on the stairs as it’s not the friendliest of places lol. I don’t have a car but car parking spaces are available at true for a weekly payment of I think £80?? Not totally sure on that but it’s a decent option. If not then the car park previously mentioned is also a good choice. Now for any negatives about true (not many!): the wifi has been a problem but the team have been great in notifying everyone and organising work to be done. It’s much better now and hopefully there’s no more problems in the future. Sometimes people are very loud coming down the corridor even past midnight which can wake you up but this isn’t true’s fault as they do try to enforce a quiet time past 11pm. The laundry room can add up, it’s £3 to wash and about £3 to dry. This can add up quickly and sometimes you can’t get a washing machine. I’d recommend skiing your washing on a random day rather than a Friday or Sunday as this is when it’s busy. Overall true is an incredible place to live and the team are so lovely, especially Liv. Thanks True!

Staying at True Students Swansea has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The building is beautiful – super modern, clean, and designed with students in mind. From the moment you walk in, it just feels like a proper community. The atmosphere is welcoming and social, but still calm enough to focus when you need to study. The rooms are spacious, stylish, and really well-equipped – loads of storage, a comfy bed, a big desk, and a great bathroom. The communal areas are where it really shines though: the sky lounge is stunning (especially at sunset), the gym is free and actually decent, and the cinema room, study zones, and shared kitchens are all top quality. The events team is amazing – they organise everything from yoga sessions and movie nights to pizza parties and career workshops. You’ll never feel bored or isolated here. It’s really easy to meet people, whether you’re in a studio or shared flat. Location-wise, it’s perfect. It’s close to both the city centre and the universities, and there are shops, cafés, and transport links right on your doorstep. The staff deserve a special mention – they’re genuinely kind and always go out of their way to help. Whether it’s fixing something in your room, collecting parcels, or just having a chat at reception, they really make you feel looked after. It’s not just a place to live – it’s a place to enjoy student life. I’d 100% recommend True Swansea to anyone looking for a mix of comfort, community, and quality. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.
