Choosing student accommodation is often less about the room itself and more about how well the property fits into your week. A short journey to university, manageable living costs and useful facilities can take some of the pressure out of an already busy academic schedule.
Hayward House student accommodation Liverpool is located on Myrtle Street, close to Liverpool's universities, city-centre facilities and several everyday essentials. Students can choose between shared three-bedroom apartments and a private studio, depending on how they prefer to live and what they want to spend.
Bills are included in the weekly rent, while on-site management, maintenance and security cover some of the practical concerns that come with living away from home. For students who want to stay close to university without being far from the rest of Liverpool, Hayward House Liverpool offers a well-placed option.
Hayward House is a purpose-built student residence where private bedrooms and shared living spaces sit alongside facilities used by residents throughout the year. The accommodation gives students a choice between sharing an apartment with other residents or keeping their living arrangements more private with a studio.
The shared apartments have three bedrooms, with residents sharing the kitchen and living areas. This setup can suit students who like having other people around after lectures and want a more social arrangement without giving up their own bedroom.
The Classic Studio takes a different approach. It gives one student their own living space, kitchen and bathroom, which can be useful for those who prefer to manage their routine independently.
The practical side of living at Hayward House student accommodation Liverpool is also worth considering. Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are included in the rent. There are also laundry facilities, on-site management and maintenance, along with secure entry, CCTV and on-site security.
Address: Myrtle, Liverpool L7 7AD, United Kingdom
The Hayward House Liverpool address places the property on Myrtle Street, within a well-established student area of the city. Liverpool's university campuses are spread across relatively central parts of the city, so students living here have several options for getting to lectures.
The surrounding area is useful for more than university travel. Shops, cafés, libraries and places to eat are available nearby, while Liverpool city centre is close enough for students to head into town without turning every trip into a long journey.
Liverpool has a large student population, and the areas around its universities have developed around that daily rhythm. From Hayward House, students can reach university buildings, shops and central Liverpool by walking or using local buses, depending on where they need to go.
Myrtle Street is also served by nearby bus stops, including Melville Place, Myrtle Street and Cambridge Street. These connections can be useful for students travelling to campuses further away or heading into the city centre.
For groceries and everyday shopping, Tesco is nearby. Students looking for a larger shopping trip can head towards Liverpool ONE, while Metquarter Liverpool offers another option in the city centre.
There are plenty of places to eat and meet friends as well. The Place to Eat, Coffee House Liverpool St Johns, Bella Italia Liverpool and The Irish House are among the nearby options, with many more cafés and restaurants available across central Liverpool.
Students who want some time away from their room can also make use of the city's green spaces. Chavasse Park and St John's Gardens are close to central Liverpool, while Princes Park gives students another option when they want somewhere more open for a walk or a break from coursework.
The right accommodation will depend on what matters most to you. Some students prioritise a short commute, while others care more about room type, included bills, or having support available within the building.
Hayward House Liverpool brings several of these considerations together. The property has shared apartments for students who prefer living with others, as well as a private studio for those who want greater independence.
Some of the main features include:
Three-bedroom shared apartments with private bedrooms.
A self-contained Classic Studio.
Electricity, gas, heating and water included in the rent.
High-speed Wi-Fi and contents insurance included.
Common areas for studying and spending time with other residents.
Shared communal kitchens within the apartments.
On-site laundry facilities.
On-site management and maintenance teams.
Secure door entry and CCTV.
On-site security.
Close access to Liverpool's university campuses and city centre.
For students comparing Hayward House accommodation Liverpool with other properties, the combination of included household costs and a central location can be particularly useful. It keeps some of the regular expenses predictable while leaving students within reach of the places they are likely to visit during the week.
Hayward House Liverpool has accommodation for students who want to share as well as those who would rather have their own self-contained space. The available room types sit at different price points, giving students some choice based on their budget and preferred setup.
The shared accommodation consists of three-bedroom apartments. Each student has a private bedroom, while the kitchen and living areas are shared with the other residents.

A number of household costs are already covered within the weekly rent at Hayward House student accommodation Liverpool.
Your accommodation fee includes:
Electricity
Gas
Heating
Water
High-speed Wi-Fi
Contents insurance
This means students do not need to set up separate accounts for these main household services after moving in. Having them included also makes it easier to work out the regular cost of accommodation before the academic year starts.
The facilities at Hayward House focus on the things students are likely to use during a normal week, from getting coursework done to doing laundry and spending time with other residents.
Students do not have to rely entirely on university libraries when they need somewhere to work. The property has common areas that can be used for independent study or working through coursework with other residents.
High-speed Wi-Fi is also included, supporting everyday tasks such as online research, virtual classes and submitting university work.
Shared accommodation naturally gives residents opportunities to meet people, but the communal areas at Hayward House provide additional places to spend time outside the bedroom.
Residents have access to:
Common room
Shared communal kitchens within apartments
The communal kitchens are part of the shared apartments, giving flatmates a place to prepare meals and spend time together.
Some of the most useful accommodation facilities are the ones that become part of your weekly routine.
Hayward House includes:
On-site laundry facilities
On-site management
On-site maintenance
Having these services within the property means students can deal with laundry and accommodation-related issues without having to travel elsewhere.
Security features are also in place across the residence.
Residents have access to:
Secure door entry
CCTV
On-site security
These measures provide additional security around the building while students go about their daily routines.

The station is useful for students travelling outside Liverpool during weekends and university breaks, with rail services connecting the city to destinations across the UK.
Liverpool One Bus Station provides another option for longer journeys, particularly for students travelling by coach.
Accommodation needs can change considerably from one student to another. Someone who enjoys sharing a kitchen with flatmates may have different priorities from a student who wants a private studio, while commuting distance and weekly rent can be equally important considerations.
Hayward House student accommodation Liverpool offers both shared and private accommodation, along with included bills and on-site facilities. That combination makes it worth considering if you want a central Liverpool location without moving into fully independent private housing.
The three-bedroom apartments give each resident a private bedroom while keeping the kitchen and living space shared.
This arrangement suits students who like having flatmates around and want some social interaction as part of their accommodation. The shared setup can also be a more affordable alternative to living alone.
The Classic Studio is the main option for students who prefer a private setup.
With the kitchen and bathroom contained within the studio, it gives residents greater control over their daily routine. It may suit students who prefer quieter accommodation or simply want more independence during university.
The weekly rent includes electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance.
Having these costs included means students can account for their main accommodation expenses without arranging separate utility payments after moving in.

I am very disappointed as the parent of an international student at the state of Hayward House. It is very shabby and run down to say the least. Parcels have to be fetched from a building three blocks away and rooms aren’t clean when handed over to new students. There’s a dire lack of facilities and amenities and for this price there are many better options. Worst thing is that the ground floor rooms have no security bars and are next to the pavement of a bustling street. The management should take better responsibility for providing peace of mind for foreign students because we read about Liverpool having one of the highest crime rates. If the room was enclosed in a gated complex it’s an entirely different case. But this. Very disappointing indeed.

I lived here for the 2021 academic year. Generally good. Nice location, close to everything you need. Can be a comfortable home when everything works well. The management team was friendly most of the time, but they could be more efficient. Sometimes it takes centuries for a problem to be resolved. When you report an issue, it seems that only the person that you talked to knows about that. If you try to follow up the process with another team member later, you would have to start from the beginning, as you have never talked to them. This happened quite a few times, leading to inefficient maintenance. It took them over a week to replace a broken light bulb in my room, in winter, when it gets dark at 4 pm.

Living here for two years, convenient, very close to the uni and library, the room has good lighting, security is very good, and at the same time quiet and comfortable. The staff are very caring, especially Chris who has helped me a lot, very practical and reliable man, and he can always solve problems in time.

It’s a very disappointing accommodation. The price is relatively high but provides low-quality rooms. It's the worst accommodation I have been in. I am paying about 140 per week but it does not provide a vacuum cleaner nor a mop. The bathroom is in a horrible state and has limited space. There is no social area inside the building and U have to walk 3 blocks to the reception to get my parcel.

A terrible accommodation i definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. Staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, maintenance took weeks to respond and the rooms are really hot and can be noisy making it difficult to sleep.
