Can I request to move rooms during my tenancy?

You would need to make a formal request to the accommodation team of the property you are residing in. If you request to move rooms during your tenancy you will also be issued with new documents confirming the details of the room move which you will need to sign or accept online. Should your new room be more expensive, then you and your Guarantor shall be liable for the higher rent from the date you are given access to it.

Can I choose my room?

If you follow the ‘Enquiry’ process, a member of our Student Support Team will get in contact to discuss your room preferences, however, all requests and subject to availability and conditions.

Can I choose who I live with?

If you are applying to live with friends, please ensure that you mention them when you ‘Enquire’. List the friends that you would like to live with and we will then contact the property and make the arrangements for you!

You can bring most of your belongings but some electricals aren’t suitable for the properties. Non UK compliant electricals such as rice cookers are not suitable for use with UK power outlets and this can cause fire risks.

No pets of any kind are permitted at the property, except registered assistance dogs.

I am an international student living at the Octagon. It is a great place to live. It is directly across the road from the University of Liverpool and 5 minutes from the Sydney Jones Library. The location is very advantageous for students. The Octagon is a 10 min walk to City Centre and there are grocery stores and restaurants just 2-3 minutes from my building. The apartment is a bit small but it is very comfortable for one person and the size is about the same to other locations. There is good security and the laundry and bins are enclosed in a courtyard making it very safe. The apartment was clean when I moved in and any repairs I needed were quickly addressed. THE STAFF ARE WONDERFUL!!! They are so helpful and have made my stay in the UK very comfortable, despite the conditions with Covid-19. Maria at the office is particularly helpful. She is very quick to respond to my emails and concerns. She has helped me resolve several issues!!! I am very grateful for her help and kindness. Also, the maintenance staff are great! Especially Kevin. He has helped fix several items in my flat quickly and efficiently. He is always happy to help and I know if I need something repaired it will be done quickly. Overall, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They have gone above and beyond to make my stay here comfortable. I recommend staying here if you get the chance.
