About Currus Court

Currus Court is a striking, purpose-built student property in the heart of Canterbury, perfectly located for students at Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent. Canterbury Christ Church is just a mile away, with the university library a 2-minute walk from the property and the main campus reachable in around 20 minutes by bus, 6 minutes by car or 4 minutes by bicycle. The University of Kent is 1.8 miles away, approximately 16 minutes by bus or 9 minutes by bicycle.

Part of a wider residential development in the city, Currus Court offers ensuite rooms with shared kitchen facilities and a social setup that makes settling into student life easy from day one.

What sets Currus Court apart is an amenity offering that goes well beyond the expected. Access to two fully equipped gyms via Palamon Court and Rhodaus Court means there is rarely a queue, whether you prefer an early morning session or a late evening workout. In your spare time, check out the cinema room at neighbouring Palamon Court, which is accessible and free for Currus Court tenants to enjoy. The party room provides a fun communal space, complete with a large TV and sofa area, pool table and ping pong table. Over in the reception area, a foosball table and vending machines add to the social atmosphere, while a dedicated laundry room keeps day-to-day living straightforward.

For those who need to focus, two social study booths with reception seating and study tables offer a quieter environment, sitting alongside the dedicated study spaces available elsewhere in the building. The communal lounge remains a relaxed setting to unwind, socialise and connect with fellow residents. You'll also have access to the communal kitchen and dining areas at both Palamon Court and Rhodaus Court.

The standout architectural features are the open-air atrium with its own terrace and Canterbury's largest rooftop courtyard, complete with seating.

As part of the wider Canterbury development alongside Palamon Court and Rhodaus Court, Currus Court residents also benefit from access to the social spaces, gyms and bookable rooms across all three buildings via key card, making the overall offering genuinely expansive for those who want to make the most of it.

Beyond the building, Canterbury delivers on every front. A UNESCO World Heritage Site with a thriving independent food, drink and arts scene, it is a city that rewards exploration. Excellent rail links ensure you can reach London St Pancras in around an hour, making it one of the best-connected cities in

What if I want to cancel my booking?

Our full termination policy is within your online account. You can cancel your tenancy agreement for up to 7 days after the date of your booking (the Initial Cancellation Period). We will refund the full security deposit. Please note, £20 will be deducted from the refunded amount to cover any international bank charges for deposit refunds made to non-UK banks. If you wish to cancel your tenancy agreement after the initial cancellation period or after your tenancy has started, you will be responsible for paying the rent and any applicable fees for the full tenancy period. However, if you find a replacement tenant who is approved by the landlord and has paid both the deposit and rent, your liability will be limited to the time until the replacement tenant takes over payment. The tenancy termination will only be confirmed once the replacement tenant has completed these payments. If a replacement tenant is found, there will be a £50 fee for updating the contract, which you’ll need to pay within 14 days or it will be taken from your deposit. Once the new tenancy begins, the landlord will release you from your tenancy agreement.

How much are deposits?

Deposits vary by property and your deposit is placed into a deposit protection scheme, where it is held safely throughout the academic year and will be returned to you at the end of your contract subject to the contract terms. The deposit you pay when making the application cannot be used towards a rent instalment as this is secured with a deposit protection scheme for the duration of your tenancy.
