Have loved my stay here since arriving in September! I have not really experienced many downsides, so I don't really have anything to complain about! (Except MAYBE that the Fire alarm goes off often, though that's to be expected with a building full of students.) Planning to stay another year, very excited about that! Alice and Tammy are great and super helpful! Emails are responded to quickly and issues fixed promptly. Would recommend! (Especially if your looking for more personal, pricier accomodation, in comparison child's hall (UoR), costs around the same, BUT you share a kitchen with about 10 people instead of having your own private space.)

I’ve been really enjoying my stay here in Berkshire House. The team is very cooperative and friendly, and they always try to help whenever needed. A very special thank you to the general manager, Alice. She is truly amazing. She’s incredibly kind, supportive, and always goes the extra mile for residents. She really makes this place feel welcoming. Everything here feels like home & more :)

I lived here for a few months and had many issues. First of all the office was barely staffed meaning the amenities included like the cinema rooms and dining rooms were not available for use since they required a staff member to let you in. Secondly, the elevator had broken down numerous times, whilst I had broken my foot and there seemed to be no rush in fixing it making accessibility more difficult - maintenance knew my foot was broken but the lift was down for days at a time. I signed up to this tenancy using a discount code as advertised on their site, but I never received the discount even after months of emailing. Furthermore, I have not yet received my deposit back despite having moved out 5 months ago. It’s a really poorly run residence with many issues, especially for the price that you pay to live here I would not recommend.

I love my room. The communal amenities are amazing and the facility great management. Very friendly staff.
a
it is crazy to me how filthy the rooms are. they are literally disgusting and infested with either bed bugs or carpet beetles but there’s no way to find out since they refuse to call a pest control RESPONSE TO THE STAFF*** they are carpet beetles, calling them woolly bears makes the issue seem as if the situation is not serious. the whole building is infested with such. extremely irresponsible and inhumane to let students live in such conditions.
