I’ve had a great experience living here and it’s been a year now. Doing my rebooking for another year at the moment as it really feels like home. I would especially like to thank the property manager Jack and his colleagues for their constant help and support. They are very responsible, professional, patient, friendly, and always willing to help whenever there are any issues or questions. Strongly recommend to all students no matter overseas or locals x

As an NUA student, living here is really ideal in terms of location as almost all of the university buildings are just a 5-10 minute walk away. And for UEA students, who head to get buses, the main city area is close too, as well as other bus stop sites, so travel-wise, it is great. The staff are helpful, kind, and availably ready for any help they can give you. It feels safe here, it is (aesthetically) just fine and there are benefits are good (cinema room, good study areas, machines). Overall it has been good living here. My main issues are probably: the size of the shared kitchen area feeling too small, making it a struggle to move around others in the space, but also -at least where my room is located- the noise levels can be incredibly annoying. Maybe the windows are thin, I’m not sure, but often I can hear the traffic outside as if my window is wide open even though it is almost always shut. It can be loud from inside the building too where go in and out, and the doors beep to unlock, but that is not too bad, mostly easy to get used to and somewhat expected. It is not perfect but I like it enough to spend my next year here. (Although in a different room). The price is pretty decent too, and on the cheaper side compared to others around the city.

Honestly, these past few months at St Crispins has been a good experience as a student. The accom is clean and safe, and the staff are mega friendly whenever i have a concern or an issue arises. Communication from management and the team is direct quick which makes things a lot easier, as a student living away from home. I also like that the rules are enforced properly and efficiently because it keeps the place running and calm. The location is convenient as its near the city centre and a short bus ride to uni. Overall, my stay has been very comfortable and I would definitely recommend!
Favour
My stay here has been comfortable and welcoming. The accommodation has a calm, almost retreat-like atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in away from everyday noise. The space feels homely and well-kept, with everything I need close by. Overall, it has been a lovely living experience, and I appreciate the care taken to make it feel pleasant.

I’m not typically a reviewer and definitely not one to review places badly even if I have a negative experience but I need anyone thinking of coming to live here to know what kind of experience they will receive. I have lived in St Crispins for the past two years. Last year, things were great - I even took some family friends round the building recommending it to them because I genuinely believed it was a place worth staying in and they ended up booking here. St Crispins has got great amenities and for the most part, the staff are lovely. I have never once had a bad experience with any of the security, the lovely cleaning lady, or most of the front desk staff. However, I am writing this review off the back of a really rude interaction with the two main maintenance men. I live on the 7th floor. The lift has been broken since at least mid April. I cannot stress enough how much grace we have given this building. The lift has broken before for a couple of weeks (including when we moved all our stuff in and had to walk up the stairs with it), we never once complained as buildings have issues like this. However, after nearly two months, this has become an issue. Both my partner and I have never asked in a mean or frustrated way about the lift, but we have asked for updates after the first month. We have even joked with the staff about the lift company and apologised every time we have asked them about it. I can only assume it is not the staff members fault the lift is like this as the company who installed it do sound shocking to be fair, and the staff will always take you up in another lift and go through a different block to get to yours. I wish they could give us temporary access by ourselves through the other block but maybe it’s a security risk or just not possible so fair enough. I had a medical issue a few days ago and just couldn’t leave the flat for two days as I couldn’t face the stairs and waiting for someone to take you up can take a while as the staff are constantly going up and down. There are a few issues like this that are out of their hands, like how the wifi went down for a few days due to works going on down the street annoyingly during finals. My point is that this is not the buildings fault, but some of the staff get openly frustrated with you for asking for occasional updates when you don’t know what is going on. Another example of this is water maintenance which has just been announced. I will attach the screenshot of what has been said but basically the waterworks will interrupt water flow intermittently throughout the day for the next three days. Of course, this does not mean water will stop completely and these works obviously have to be done, but when I politely asked for a bit more context about how long the water would be shut off, the two maintenance men were actively rude. The lovely lady on the front desk (I think I overheard her name was Emma?) could not have been more understanding but the two menacing acted like I was an idiot for not knowing more about it?! As this has happened before when the water got shut off for a day unexpectedly a while ago, the building provided water bottles - I asked if that would be the case again or if we could access water often enough and the men narrowed their eyes at me like I was stupid and said it’s not going to be that bad and apathetically shrugged saying “they need to be repaired. Sorry.” It’s difficult to convey on here how patronising they were and how clearly annoyed they were but my boyfriend also picked up on how small they made me feel for just asking calmly and politely. Overall issues in the building just aren’t dealt with sympathetically for the residents this is affecting. Updates about the lift have stopped coming on the app for weeks now - just having them say “there’s no updates, sorry this is so annoying” would be good but a lot of staff just act annoyed at you for asking. Again, I want to emphasise how lovely a lot of people working here are though. I just can’t recommend it how I did a few months ago.
