Meadowside court is a good place to stay, the location couldn't be better for Abertay students, with the university being only minutes away. Rooms are a decent size with private en-suite. Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of space to cook your own meals while socialising with flatmates. On move-in day I felt very welcomed with wee touches such as sweeties giving it a nice homely touch. Lots of social events organised by the co-ordinators, such as pancakes for pancake day and halloween parties at local clubs.

Meadowside court has been a great place to stay during my time at Abertay University. The location is perfect, being less than 5 minutes away from the uni means I rarely miss a class. The rooms are comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom is extremely convenient. I was initially worried about moving into a flat with 8 other residents, but after a few days we quickly became friends, and spend a lot of time together in the flat’s kitchen. It’s large enough for social events, and comfortable enough to want to spend time in throughout the day. This accommodation has made my first year living away from home a breeze, and I would highly recommend any future Abertay students to consider Meadowside!

Overall, my experience has been fairly positive. The staff are helpful and approachable, and maintenance is one of the strongest aspects — they respond quickly and resolve issues efficiently. I’ve had multiple problems with the heating during my stay, but each time it has been fixed promptly, which is reassuring. When I first arrived, my room was generally clean, although there were a few missed areas such as some debris on the floor (including fake eyelashes) and slightly dusty shelves. It could have benefited from a more thorough final clean, but overall it was in good condition. In terms of social life, there hasn’t been much interaction from my personal experience. There have been events organised, but they didn’t really appeal to me — offering a wider variety might help engage more residents. One area that could definitely be improved is the laundry facilities. There are only two washing machines and two dryers, which is not enough, and they tend to break down quite often. Communication could also be better, as it can sometimes take a while to receive a response when reporting issues via email. Lastly, the accommodation is quite expensive for what is offered (a private room with an en-suite), although I do understand this is influenced by the general cost of living and building maintenance costs. Overall, while there are a few areas for improvement, the responsive maintenance team and supportive staff make it a decent and comfortable place to live and I highly recommend it here as so close to Abertay University.

Meadowside court is a great place to live, it’s very comfortable place to be and the people here are amazing. The bedrooms are easily customisable to your liking to make it feel more homely, and the kitchen is a good size to hang around in and hold events. Maintenance is very easy to request and doesn’t take long to get any issues resolved. Very good location as it is very close to abertay uni and the two shopping centres are very close by, making doing grocery shopping very easily. Overall a very good place to live.

Meadowside court is a nice place to live, each room has its own en-suite and the rooms are easily decorated and made to feel like home. There is also the chance to meet some great people and grow some friendships with your flatmates also. location wise it is also pretty perfect too being a 5 minute walk from abertay University and also being in the city centre means you arent too far away from going on a night out to getting groceries or grabbing a bite to eat and a catchup with some friends.
