Stanley Studios - Dundee, dundee

Have only lived here for a short while, but I absolutely adore stanley studios, it's clean, in a good location and personally my studio is pretty quiet. Also the manager that runs the building, David. has been absolutely incredible with helping me with a rather difficult movie in and any issues I've had. I'll definitely be here for a long time and am excited to be.

Living here at Stanley studios has been like living at a home away from home, its not just an accommodation, its an accommodation that ticks all of the boxes and allows you to make this your second home where you build a life with all the facilities available to you, make new friends, dundee uni literally minutes away that you can go back and forth multiple times a day, have your own personal space and when needed could just go downstairs in the communal area to socialise and really, it does help a lot with the kind of management its got.

Wow, really. I loved spending part of my vacation here. The appartment was all I needed. It was clean, well organized and super easy to use the amenities. And it was clean. And actually, everything everywhere in the whole building was neat and clean. Perfect place to be. The common areas were great: cinema, big table, to work/study, gym. And David, the manager, was awesome. And there is even a washing machine/dryer! I had a great time there. Thank you!!!

My girlfriend and I stayed for a month and although the room had some drawbacks, David at the front desk took care of us and made up for the shortcomings. When our Airbnb hosts couldn't provide us a broom/vacuum, knife, etc., he hunted them down and brought them up to our room. He changed this from a 3-star review into a 5-star review, and improved our visit to Scotland. Thank you sir!

Positives - Very modern and Clean . Studio appt had fridge , comfy bed , desk area , microwave ( although microwave or grill was only option ) and 2 induction hobs ( on timer ) . Toilet area sufficient with nice shower and hot water instantly . Negatives - No hot water ( just slightly warm ) from kitchen tap . No TV in room , No tin opener , no dish towels to dry , very noisy fan in toilet and lasted ages after light switches off . No fan or A/c . Had to keep window open to get seagulls at 5am wanting attention . Views of run down building out window . This accommodation v Hotel ? Wish I booked the extra £20 and went hotel .
