Living at Waterloo House is 100% worth your money. The rooms and facilities are brand new, well-maintained by the management and the staff are here always friendly and attentive to our concerns. I feel super safe living here, thanks to the building’s security features. The location is also perfect! You’re right outside the city with walkable access to either of York’s universities! I’d recommend Waterloo House to any student!

Wonderful student accommodation in York. Decent pricing for York, you can get much worse accommodation for a higher price. With Waterloo House you are getting a modern, newly built room, where EVERYTHING WORKS, which is quite uncommon for student housing. Minor issues I’ve had have been fixed within a few hours. Staff are very friendly and helpful, I’ve been loving my time here so far, and if I had another year left of university I’d be staying here again!

If you follow the ‘book now’ process you can select the room of your choice or you can make special requests within the ‘create application’ route which we will do our best to accommodate, however all requests and subject to availability and conditions.
No pets of any kind are permitted at Homes for Students, except registered assistance dogs.
Homes for Students do not charge a booking fee. When you accept your room offer, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit to secure your room which is secured with a deposit protection service and refunded at the end of your tenancy.
If you turn 18 in the first semester of university, we can accept your booking at properties where there is 24/7 security available and have an adult over the age of 18 must be a co-signatory on your tenancy agreement and must accept the terms of it. We can accept under 18s in some of our properties subject to our Policy for Students under the Age of 18. Note : Aspen property does not accept bookings from students under the age of 18.
