About this property
The first few weeks at university tend to follow a similar pattern: You spend half the time figuring out where your lectures are, the other half working out where to buy groceries, catch a bus, grab a coffee, or meet friends after class. Living somewhere that keeps those things within reach often makes a bigger difference than students expect.
Guilden Village sits on Lido Road, a short distance from the University of Surrey and next to Stoke Park. Lectures, study sessions, evenings with friends, trips into town, and weekend downtime all fit naturally into daily life here. Instead of travelling across Guildford for everything, much of what students need sits nearby.
Guilden Village Address: Lido Road, Guildford, GU1 1FQ, United Kingdom
One side of student life revolves around deadlines and timetables. The other revolves around everything in between. A quick food shop after lectures, lunch in town, a walk through the park, or meeting friends on a free afternoon all become part of the weekly routine.
Guilden Village places students beside Stoke Park, one of the largest green spaces in Guildford. During warmer months, the park fills with runners, football games, study groups, and students escaping their rooms for a couple of hours. Guildford town centre, local cafés, supermarkets, transport links, and everyday essentials remain close enough to reach without turning simple errands into a journey.
After a few weeks of university life, most students start to realise how much time they actually spend in their accommodation. It becomes the place where assignments get finished before deadlines, online lectures play in the background, takeaway dinners replace cooking plans, and occasional video calls home stretch longer than expected. That is why the room itself often matters just as much as the location.
At Guilden Village, students can choose between en-suite rooms and private studio spaces. The layouts differ, but each room comes fully furnished and includes high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a 43-inch Smart TV. Students comparing different Guilden Village floor plan options usually look at how much privacy they want during the academic year and how they expect to spend their time outside of lectures.
| Room Type | Starting Price |
| Classic Ensuite (Courtyard Facing) | £255.0 per week |
| Classic Ensuite (External Facing) | £255.0 per week |
| Classic Studio (Ground Floor) | £327.0 per week |
| Classic Studio | £338.0 per week |
| Premium Studio | £395.0 per week |
No room works for everybody. Some students spend most of their day on campus and mainly need a comfortable place to return to each evening. Others treat their accommodation as their primary study space and spend much more time there.
Accessible Studio: Covering approximately 27.8 m², this room includes a private bathroom and a self-contained layout. Students who prefer having everything within one space often shortlist this room when comparing different types of Guilden Village accommodation.
Classic Ensuite (External Facing): This room includes a private bedroom and bathroom, while the kitchen and living areas are shared with other residents. Many first-year students lean towards this setup because shared spaces naturally create more opportunities to meet people during the first few months in Guildford.
Classic Ensuite (Courtyard Facing): The same room category with a courtyard-facing outlook. Students browsing Guilden Village photos often notice these rooms because they overlook one of the building's communal areas.
Premium Studio: A private kitchen, bathroom, study area, and sleeping space are all in the same room. Residents who like having complete control over their daily routine often prefer studio living over shared accommodation.
Moving into a new city already involves enough planning. Basic furniture, internet access, and study space are already taken care of, allowing students to settle in more quickly.
Every room includes:
Small double bed with under-bed storage
Study desk and chair
Wardrobe
Air conditioning
Up to 400 Mbps Wi-Fi
43-inch Samsung Smart TV
One reason many students consider Guilden Village student accommodation Guildford is that a large part of everyday living has already been built into the weekly rent. Instead of managing separate accounts for electricity, internet, heating, and other essentials, residents know from the beginning what is covered.

The weekly rent covers:
Electricity
Gas
Heating

The places around your accommodation often become part of your routine without you even noticing. One week, it's a quick stop for groceries on the way back from campus. No accommodation suits every student in exactly the same way. Some people spend most of their time on campus and mainly want a comfortable place to return to each evening. Others care more about social spaces, facilities, or having everything they need in one building.
Guilden Village tends to attract students who:
Want to stay within reasonable reach of the University of Surrey and other institutions in Guildford.
Like having study spaces available outside their room during busy academic periods.
Prefer choosing between shared living and a completely private studio.
Would rather keep utilities, Wi-Fi, and other essentials within a single accommodation payment.
Enjoy having communal spaces available for downtime, socialising, and meeting new people.
Appreciate having multiple travel options throughout the week, including train stations, bus routes, cycling facilities, and the shuttle service.
Want their accommodation to feel active throughout the year rather than somewhere people only return to for sleep.
Comparing a few different properties before making a decision usually gives a clearer picture of what matters most, whether that's location, facilities, room type, or budget.

I have had the most incredible experience living at Guilden Village, and I couldn't be more thrilled to share my 5-star review. This private student accommodation has truly become a home away from home for me, thanks to the exceptional team and top-notch facilities. From the moment I arrived, the team at Guilden Village welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like part of a family. Harvey, Sarah, Olga, and Norbert have gone above and beyond to ensure that every need is met with a smile and genuine care. Their support and friendliness have made my stay not only comfortable but incredibly enjoyable. Guilden Village offers a plethora of amazing events throughout the year, from the exciting Guilden Freshers' events to lively parties and fun games tournaments. These events have been a fantastic way to meet new people and form lasting friendships. The sense of community here is unparalleled, and I am grateful for the wonderful people I have met. One of the highlights of my time here has been the interpersonal relationships I have built. Meeting Sarah and Harvey has been one of the best things this year. They have made me feel like I am part of a family, and I am confident that the bonds we've created will last a lifetime. The friendships I've formed here are some of the most meaningful and enriching relationships I've ever experienced. The facilities at Guilden Village are second to none. I particularly loved the private dining area, where I could host personal dinners and celebrations, adding a special touch to my social life. The games room and private cinema provided endless entertainment, making every moment here feel premium and well worth the investment. The entire place is impeccably clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall luxurious vibe. One of the standout features for me has been the beautiful flower beds that are constantly replenished. It's the little details like these that make Guilden Village feel so warm, convenient, and comfortable. Despite the challenges of pursuing a difficult degree and working full-time, living at Guilden Village has made everything feel less stressful and daunting. The supportive team and the vibrant social environment have played a significant role in shaping my experience and personal growth. In conclusion, I absolutely love everything about Guilden Village. It has provided me with a fun, comfortable, and amazing place to live for the year. I wholeheartedly recommend Guilden Village to anyone seeking a vibrant and welcoming student accommodation. I would return in a heartbeat, and I am confident that anyone who chooses to stay here will feel just as happy and fulfilled as I have.

I did spin the wheel three times and got myself Viennese swirls, chocolate cookie, and other chocolate candies. They were fun. Harvey and Nicola made it the most fun. They always make things fun ⭐️
