West Hampstead And Finchley Road
West Hampstead gives students the shortest academic route.
Francis Gardner Studios currently appears as the closest managed property on the House of Student ESCP page, at about 0.91 miles from campus. The property currently starts from £416 per week and offers several tenancy periods, including 44 and 51 weeks alongside selected shorter stays.
The neighbourhood has supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and several rail options. West Hampstead provides Jubilee line, Overground and Thameslink access, while Finchley Road & Frognal adds another Overground station.
The official campus route differs from some older accommodation guides. ESCP advises students who use Finchley Road Underground station to take bus 13 or 113 to Lyncroft Gardens or walk for approximately 20 minutes. The campus does not stand five minutes from Finchley Road Underground station.
A property near Finchley Road & Frognal may create a much shorter final walk than one near the Underground station. Always use 527 Finchley Road as the destination.
West Hampstead rent reflects its Zone 2 location and transport. A room here can still offer value when it removes regular travel and supports an intensive timetable.
Kilburn And Brondesbury
Kilburn and Brondesbury lie west and south-west of the campus.
The area contains shared houses, private flats and rooms in converted properties. Kilburn High Road also gives residents supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés and everyday services.
Kilburn station uses the Jubilee line, while Brondesbury and Brondesbury Park connect through the Overground. Many addresses also have direct buses towards Finchley Road.
A room here can cost less than a similar property in central West Hampstead. Check the final walk to the bus or station, as Kilburn covers a sizeable residential area.
Students renting a conventional flat should confirm whether the monthly rent includes electricity, gas, water and broadband. Purpose-built residences usually combine these costs, while private landlords commonly charge them separately.
Swiss Cottage
Swiss Cottage lies south-east of the ESCP campus.
The Jubilee line stops at Swiss Cottage, and buses travel north along Finchley Road. A property close to the main road can give students a simple journey to Lyncroft Gardens.
The area contains modern apartment buildings, older flats, cafés, supermarkets and local leisure facilities. Private rent can match or exceed West Hampstead rates, particularly near the Underground station.
Swiss Cottage also helps students who travel regularly to Bond Street, Westminster or London Bridge. The address may suit someone who balances campus with internships or part-time work in central London.
Cricklewood And Brent Cross
Cricklewood and Brent Cross offer more managed student housing than the immediate West Hampstead streets.
ESCP’s current housing guide names Fusion Brent Cross Town and describes it as roughly 20 minutes from the London campus. The development offers en-suite rooms, studios and extensive communal facilities.
Current 2026–27 listings show entry rooms from about £332 per week under a 51-week contract. That produces a basic rent of £16,932 for the academic year.
Fusion includes bills, laundry, study spaces, fitness facilities and social areas within its accommodation package. Students should decide how often they will use those services before paying more for the building.
Brent Cross West railway station gives the area a direct Thameslink connection. The final route to ESCP may require a combination of rail, bus or walking, depending on the property entrance and teaching time.
Wembley Park
Wembley Park gives students a larger purpose-built accommodation market.
ESCP currently names Scape Wembley among its London housing options. The property offers furnished rooms, private bathrooms, study areas, a gym, cinema facilities and 24-hour staff support.
One current 2026–27 listing shows an available Scape Wembley room from about £303 per week over 51 weeks. That contract reaches £15,453.
Wembley Park connects with Finchley Road through the Metropolitan line. Students then need bus 13 or 113 or the final walk towards campus.
The journey remains manageable, but it will not feel as convenient as West Hampstead during an early lecture or a late group project. The annual rent saving needs to justify the additional travel.
Camden
Camden places music venues, markets, restaurants and central London transport near home.
ESCP includes The Stay Club Camden and AXO Camden in its current housing guidance. House of Student currently lists The Stay Club Camden from £404 per week and AXO Camden studios from £423. Camden Hawley Crescent currently begins from £319 for a studio under a 51-week agreement.
A £319 Camden Hawley Crescent studio costs £16,269 over 51 weeks.
Camden students normally need a bus, Underground connection or combination of local services to reach Finchley Road. The location may appeal to someone who values central London access outside teaching hours.
King’s Cross And Islington
King’s Cross and Islington give students access to several railway and Underground lines, but they do not provide the shortest ESCP commute.
AXO Islington currently begins at £299 per week for a private room. Available contracts include 42 and 51 weeks. The full rent reaches £12,558 over 42 weeks or £15,249 over 51 weeks.
Chapter King’s Cross currently starts above £370 per week among its available categories. The property gives residents major transport links, but students need to change for Finchley Road or use buses towards north-west London.
This area may suit someone with regular work near the City, Euston or central London. A student who attends campus every day will usually gain more from a north-west London address.
Portobello And North Kensington
Portobello Garrow House currently provides one of the lowest advertised managed-property prices in the ESCP comparison.
The property starts from £263 per week and offers private rooms, shared options and studios. Current tenancy periods include 44 and 51 weeks.

The location lies farther south-west than campus. Students need to check the bus or rail combination from the exact building.
The lower annual payment can justify the commute, particularly when the alternative costs more than £400 per week near West Hampstead.
