I came on here to see if anyone had issues just as me. And by no surprise the top comment outlines my issue with pin point accuracy. Why isn’t Unihomes paying bill packages!?? I’ve been receiving calls and letters from Advantis (a debt collection agency) for the best of 5 months now. Asking me to front 800 pounds in debts I’ve contacted both Welsh water and Unihomes to amend this issue, after they explained the toll this has on my credit file, allowing them both to speak on my behalf and yet I’m still receiving calls from a debt collection company on behalf of Welsh water. This comes obvious here but me nor those I live with have missed any payments to Unihomes for our all inclusive bills package and yet I can never seem to hear the end of it. While Unihomes bills package comes as an easy way to manage and handle these things your better off anywhere else. This company is a joke, utterly disgraced by what’s happening to me. And by no surprise it seems many others are facing the same issue as I am.

Satisfied with the Billing package service provided by UniHomes. Make life easier that they manage all the bills throughout year. Their supposed and service team are really nice and polite and resolve issues quickly. Happy to opt them.

Disgrace of a company do not use Bills package under any circumstances. We have paid them well over a £100 a month since August they have not paid a single Water, Electric or Gas bill this entire time. After a week of being with unihomes we started getting water bills to our door. We called them immediately and was assured they would make sure Welsh water knew to contact them and not us and they would pay the bills. Fast forward to November we are receiving letters from Welsh water and British Gas saying we owe about £500 for each service and if it wasn’t paid they would put defaults against our names. We inform unihomes we’re told to send them copies of the letters and they’ll handle it. We have contacted all of the bills companies to find out exactly what is owed and the escalations. Turns out that unihomes didn’t make one payment for Gas Water or Electric and since August we have amassed around £1500 in debt. For every month the didn’t pay the companies were marking down our credit file aswell as the threat of defaults. Both British Gas and Welsh water have passed these debts over to debt collectors and our credit scores have suffered. We’ve been in constant contact with unihomes to demand they pay. And we’ve been in constant contact with Welsh water every day to ask - have they paid yet. And the answer everyday is no. They’ve done nothing to rectify this issue they have caused and communication is nothing short of a disgrace. Haven spoken to other students this is a constant occurrence. One ‘has this happen to anyone else’ message into the course group chat and 5 people in 5 minutes coming back with similar horror stories. We have instructed solicitors in order to go about making sure debts are paid and we are reasonably compensated but you feel for the average student who isn’t in a position to do that. Horrible Horrible company. Utterly disgraceful. Months on and this has still not resolved contrary to the nonsense below. Please please avoid.

We have an ongoing issue with Unihomes. It says all inclusive bills, however it is very overpriced £100 + each a month and they are NOT paying our water bill. They were given over a month notice to pay the water bill, and keep saying it’s been passed onto managers but no progress. It is like they are delaying payments so students get scared and pay it. Edit: there is still no progress 2 weeks on despite contacting customer help multiple times. They said they have contacted Welsh water asking for more water bills but had over a month to do this prior. Slow and unprofessional service.

Do not use !! so much cheaper to sort out your bills yourself They charged us for water bills each month and didn’t even pay it out because they couldn’t since it was covered in our rent which we was unaware of. So they just took our money once we found out through our landlord we asked unihomes for a refund. We payed £138 per month for unlimted bills and they totalled £20.16 to be water and the rest being electricity?!?! There payments make no sense i swear it’s rigged. So disappointed that they scale students
