DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMMODATION. I genuinely do not know how this accommodation has these many good reviews. This accommodation is an absolute scam. THERE IS A HUGE SILVERFISH PROBLEM HERE. The whole building is infested with them. I lived here for less than a month and moved out so quickly. When I moved in, my shower was not working which took them 3 weeks to fix. One of the refrigerators wasn’t working and didn’t work for a good 2 weeks. The management there is absolutely terrible. There’s supposed to be someone sitting at the front desk until 4 but you won’t ever see someone there past 12. Getting packages is a nightmare because of this. Don’t get scammed into thinking this is a good accommodation because of the price. You’re better off paying a little more for a decent place to live.

Warning! - Do not stay here if you are a young female international student. They have a young African security guard here who is meant to keep the building safe and students but there have been several reports of him opening doors to females apartments in the middle of the night, on both occasions the resident was awake and asked what he was doing and his first excuse was dropping a parcel off, this was 4am! Another occasion was another female students room where he opened the door without knocking, again the female student was home and asked what he was doing and he made an excuse that he was checking to see if students had left their keys in the apartment. Other reports are that he is acosting female chinese students in the hallway and trying to engage them in conversation. When the students have been polite spoke with him and then tried to walk away, he is then asking them to continue chatting with him and making them feel uncomfortable. There have been more than one report sent to management about this but they continue to employ him and allow him to enter apartments without consent which is iilegal. AVOID IF YOU ARE A FEMALE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT!!

Absolutely love living here! All staff members are really friendly and any issues are sorted out really quickly. Lounge and Kitchen area is spacious and perfect for social gatherings. The rooms are modern and well equipped. I love it here. Also, the location is perfect for me as it's only a 10 min walk to uni!!

orbital is the most comfortable student accommodation I have ever lived in Nottingham. It is very secure because there are always front desk staff or security personnel there every day. The washing machine is also very convenient, and this year the washing machine helped me save a lot of money. orbital is ideally located, with six bus lines downstairs. Thank you very much for Ms. Luisa's help, she is always able to respond positively to any question and help me solve all the problems in life. She is a very competent worker.

if you value your money and wellbeing then DO NOT book this accommodation. i have spent 3 years in this accommodation (& before you ask why i stayed this long despite not liking it, i was too lazy to move ALL my things home in london then back to nottingham). First year: when i moved in i had no hot water so i had to shower in my friends room - great start. the hoover i was given also didn’t work so i had to buy a sweep until i got a replacement. the receptionist at the time also wasn’t the friendliest however i will say she did always show up on time & do her job. it’s advertised on their website & social media that they give treats in the receptionist area occasionally however after first year, this drastically reduced each year. as i’m writing this im halfway through my final year & we’ve only had treats once. first year was my favourite year though because all my issues got fixed quickly so my complaints aren’t too drastic. Second year: we got a new receptionist who never showed up which made it hard to get parcels. as you can see from a previous review it was a problem that we had until she left. also in second year there was a loud pipe sound that would sometimes go on for minutes. the loudness depends on your floor & the position of your room so we all complained & were given the excuse it’s being sorted but it never got sorted. till this day i still hear it. Third year & the worst of all: met the property manager for the first time who was rude & i had so many issues with the accommodation as well as my room. to start, they couldn’t find my key when i moved in so one of my assigned keys belonged to a member of staff. my wardrobe didn’t open properly so i had to hold it open with my hand if i needed something from it or else it would close straightaway. my toilet flush stopped working meaning i wasn’t able to use it & the maintenance man picks & chooses when to come 1x or 2x a week regardless of if it’s an emergency so i wasn’t able to use my toilet for a few days in an accommodation i was paying almost £1k a month for. i literally had to use the toilet elsewhere. around this time i was also told by a 3rd receptionist (who has now left) that many tenants were also having issues with their room. my shower only produced 1 temperature (very hot). i reported this on multiple occasions & nothing was fixed. there seemed to be a bug problem which a previous review mentioned, i never noticed until now. this accommodation doesn’t care about the mental health or wellbeing of their tenants & the receptionists have gotten worse each year. their rules aren’t consistent & don’t apply to everyone depending on who is working & although the building is in a good location, there’re so many accommodations next to it that are better value for money. im so happy to not have to return & would give it 0 stars if possible. pros: the location cons: everything else
