Kaplan Living Nottingham has honestly been such an amazing place to stay. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The accommodation is modern, clean, and beautifully maintained, which makes it feel like a real home away from home. The rooms are cosy yet spacious, with everything you need to settle in easily. What truly makes it special is the atmosphere it feels safe, friendly, and supportive. The staff are incredibly kind, approachable, and always ready to help with a smile, which makes such a difference as a student. The location is also perfect, with everything nearby and easy access to transport. I genuinely love living here and would recommend Kaplan Living Nottingham to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and caring student environment.

I would recommend choosing a different accommodation. The biggest advantages of Kaplan are its excellent location and the opportunity to meet other foundation students. Old Market Square, Victoria Centre, and Tesco are all within a few minutes’ walk, and it is very easy to make friends since many foundation students live here. However, I was disappointed by several things. There are almost no student facilities such as a gym, games room, or proper study space. Maintenance was also poor—several issues in my room were reported but never fixed throughout the year. In addition, flatmates are assigned randomly, and in my experience the kitchen was often left dirty, with some students smoking inside the flat. While it is a great place to meet people, I believe there are better accommodation options available in Nottingham.

My experience at Kaplan Living Nottingham has been disappointing overall. While the accommodation itself is functional, the living experience especially for under-18 studentsis extremely restrictive. One of the biggest issues is the strict visitor policy. Under-18 residents are not allowed to have guests in their rooms, including parents and family members. Visitors are generally not permitted fot the Under-18's, which can make the accommodation feel isolating compared to other student residences. The accommodation also has very strict safeguarding and monitoring procedures. If an under-18 resident plans to stay away overnight or will not return by 10:30pm, written parental permission is required. If approval is not arranged, the situation can be escalated. Residents are also required to regularly check in with designated under-18 staff members, and staff will enter rooms to conduct welfare checks if they are unable to confirm a resident's whereabouts. Another frustrating rule is that under-18 residents are not permitted to visit other flats within the building, which further limits social interaction and makes it harder to build friendships with other students. Security is extremely tight, with controlled access barriers and strict entry procedures. While safety is important, the overall environment can feel more restrictive than welcoming. The accommodation also offers more shared flats than studio rooms, which limits options for students who prefer greater privacy and independence. To be fair, not all aspects of the experience have been negative. Scott, one of the staff members, has always been friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful. He treats students with respect and is one of the reasons the experience has been more manageable. Overall, I would not recommend Kaplan Living Nottingham for under-18 students or students who are not under-18 unless they are comfortable with a highly regulated living environment. The accommodation prioritises safeguarding and rules, but in my opinion, the restrictions go too far and take away much of the independence that students expect when living away from home.

My personal experience of being on the West Tower of Kaplan Living has been great. A spacious ensuite room with a view, a regularly cleaned kitchen and fun social areas with pool tables and PlayStations. Any maintenance issues I had were quickly fixed once they had been reported. I have heard issues about lifts being broken and power issues in the East Tower. But the friendly staff and managers always step in to make sure residents are taken care of. Many other reviews complain about unclean kitchens but this is something that residents are partly responsible for and there is only so much staff can do. One great advantage of being in Kaplan Living is the 24/7 reception which means there's always a staff member nearby to help out. And lots of your course mates will stay in Kaplan, making it easy to meet and see your friends regularly. From my experience, I can highly recommend Kaplan Living.

Incredibly expensive for relatively poor to mid housing. They take advantage of international students that don’t know the city and don’t know any better. I had a room with shared kitchen that supposedly received cleaning once a week and took the kitchen bins out …they did not clean more than 3 times in a whole semester. All common area places always reeked, dirty carpets, Lifts were always out of service, and the reception people were quite mean when you needed help or had a parcel. They have like 5 washing machines for hundreds of students living in the towers so there was always a queue to load your clothes. I very glad gladly moved out as soon as I could
