Such a great place, I’ve been here since 1st year and have made great use of the amenities like the free gym, cinema room and study rooms. The study rooms are really handy during exam season as it saves me from the stress of trying to find a space on campus or the trek itself. The staff have always been really nice hence why I’ve rebooked for my 4th year as well! & I’ve not had flatmate issues since living here either. I’ve been in different room types yet always shared with 2 others and it’s been a pleasant experience. Maintenance can take a while to resolve depending on the query but it hasn’t been too bad as all my queries eventually got resolved. They also have some events throughout the year like get togethers as well as soap making classes and curry nights. I would definitely recommend this accommodation! :)

I lived here for a full academic year and I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere. Here’s why. On move-in day, the flat hadn’t been cleaned. The bathtub was filthy and the toilet was missing its door. Throughout my stay there was a persistent silverfish infestation across the bathroom, bedrooms, and kitchen. At one point I woke up to one dropping onto my pillow. And it wasn’t just my flat with pest issues; friends of mine in the same accommodation dealt with a rat problem. Maintenance was unreliable. When our sink broke, the repair person left midway through, admitted he’d “forgotten” about it, and didn’t return until the next day. The booking app for communal spaces didn’t work for the first 2 to 3 months for anyone who’d booked through UoM, so we’d reserve rooms at reception only to be turned out by people who’d booked through the app. It took far too long to fix. The worst of it: mid-year, during a heavy assignment period, the roof failed and we were forced to move rooms. I was separated from flatmates I was close with, given repeatedly incorrect timelines for when we could return, and eventually found out via an email sent to my flatmate, not to me, that we wouldn’t be getting the flat back. No compensation was offered. The fridge in my new flat didn’t keep food cold, and reception’s troubleshooting advice actually made it worse; we ended up fixing it ourselves. Beyond that: lifts in other blocks were regularly out of service for long stretches, which is a real accessibility concern. Noise at night was often bad, especially during the heatwave when sleeping with windows open was the only option. Near the end of the year a boiler issue caused a leak that reached into my room. Reception treated it as routine rather than acknowledging how much had gone wrong by that point, and one staff member in particular was rude and dismissive when I raised it. If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. My advice is stay away. There are much nicer, more affordable places.

It has been an amazing stay at Victoria point with the calm and peaceful surroundings. But the main thing is the welcoming staff that made my experience at Manchester to have a warm welcome with one of the staff helping me carry my stuff to the fourth floor which was my first encounter after arriving at the airport, I also want to mention Kaide who is a humble and helpful brother who I enjoy to have a quick chat with. Overall everything is nice and tidy with nice gym and peaceful common spaces with entertainments. I would recommend it without a doubt. Thank you team Victoria point, best wishes to all of you.

Victoria Point Manchester is by far one of the BEST student accommodations in the city. From its centralised yet quiet feeling location, to the wonderful and friendly staff members. There really isnt anywhere better. Alongside the access to an in house gym, cinema room and multiple study spaces, rooms vary within fairly set price ranges. As someone who has been living here for nearly 2 years (staying once more for my third) i can wholeheartedly say they are worth it. Other notable features include onsite laundry rooms for each building, car parks both exterior and underground as well as being set in a safe location. Students new to the city or country can expect to find themselves feeling welcomed and intertwined into the community almost immediately as staff members are always friendly and willing to engage. Alongside all of this, the location is amazing as it is based mere minutes away from numerous shops and takeaways, as well as being less than a 10 minute walk from the 50 bus stop, allowing easy and fast access to the inner city as well as MMU UCM and most BIMM Buildings By far the best decision I made was choosing to live here.

I’ve had an amazing few years at VP, I moved there in 2023 and the team was so kind and friendly. I made some really great friends at the welcome party. Whenever I have gone through anything and needed someone to talk to, the staff have been there to support me and have a laugh with me. I really liked how quick the maintenance team responds to requests, and i’ve had great convos and learnt life lessons from them while they’ve fixed something. Also me and my friends have made great use of the facilities, having a gym and a cinema room for such an affordable price made my flat the place to be. I loved my time at VP and if I go on to do a masters I will deffo be back!!

If your visa is declined after you have signed your tenancy, you may be able to cancel your booking, though we do need proof that it has been declined. Having a visa is needed for you to be able to study and remain in the UK.
If you're a first-year prospective undergraduate student and the offer at your preferred higher education institute is withdrawn, we may be able to release you from your tenancy agreement if: You find a suitable replacement to take a new tenancy agreement for the rest of your tenancy this person must be at least 18 years old, enrolled as a full-time student in a university close to the accommodation, enter into a tenancy agreement with us, pay all sums due within it, provide a guarantor where reasonable who must accept the terms and conditions set out in the tenancy agreement. You provide a written rejection letter from your chosen higher education institute. You provide a copy of the acceptance letter from your new higher education institute.
You can arrange a tenancy takeover, provided that your replacement tenant: Is at least 18 years old and enrolled as a full-time student in a university near the accommodation. Sign the tenancy agreement with us for the remainder of your contracted tenancy and pay all the sums due within it. They will also provide a guarantor where reasonable, accepting the terms and conditions set in the tenancy agreement.
