I had a wonderful experience staying here! The room was beautiful and offered an amazing view. The entire layout is very thoughtfully designed, especially for students having two stoves and two sinks makes everything so much more convenient and comfortable. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, both during the day and at night. A special thank you to Noely, Nadia, and Ismail for their friendliness and support they truly made my stay even better. I highly recommend this place!

Scape is amazing. There are events all around, diligent maintenance service (but you won’t need them, because everything is top-notch all the time!) and the facilities are perfect for a relaxing time. The staff are the highlight. They are always nice and offer all the help you need!

I would put 0 star to that place if I could. I just want the semester to end so I can leave. No one is helping here. You need to pray every time you need to wash your clothes, because the washing machines may not work. This is very common. Of course when you report that they say “ohhh we can’t do anything we are not liable for the washing machines”. I made the payment 10 days ago. The money was out from my account and the transaction was fulfilled from the side of my bank. They told me that I responsible to contact their bank and sort out the issue. There is no cleaning service in the kitchen. Rooms are small and it’s soooo cold I’m getting sick once a month here because it’s by the Canal. I would change the accommodation if I could. It’s a nightmare. I even found a full time job to avoid being in here.

My experience at Scape has been very poor. The prices are extortionate and myself and other students are only here out of convenience as it’s located on campus. I would never recommend Scape, specifically Scape Mile End, to friends, family or strangers. The staff and management especially are under qualified and unfair in their approach to genuine safety and wellbeing concerns within each flat. They are dismissive and lack urgency regarding serious matters. The administration is slow and emails from parents or guardians are often overlooked unless you chase the team down with phone calls. Most residents here are unfit to live with other people as they have no consideration for noise levels or privacy. I agree with the other recent reviewers who claimed that they were being gaslighted by management as I have felt the same thing. I have been made to feel that my safety concerns are invalid despite disturbing scenarios of eavesdropping in the corridors as well as extremely aggressive banging which goes on from midnight to 5 am. Even if five people complain about one person, the team don’t care, the manager does not care or take into account that one person is ruining over half of the flat’s wellbeing. Maintenance are often careless and have caused damage to my items with their poor workmanship. My shoes had been covered in dust and paint which I had to remove myself in the end. The rooms are cold with very poor insulation and the radiator is pathetic it’s in the far corner of the room and doesn’t do much. The windows still allow in cold air and I have had numerous colds as a result. Any concerns raised will be met by a robotic, unhelpful tone by staff who seem to be reading from the same corporate script. I have experienced extreme sleep deprivation, difficulty studying and anxiety as a result of my stay here, the peculiar residents which are being housed here and the dismissiveness of the team at this location. Many of the positive reviews on here are transactional - reception usually encourage you to leave a nice review in exchange for chocolates or sweets. This is a money hungry institution, I was once asked if i wanted to rebook for next year two seconds after I told them I was distressed for the above reasons. For the wellbeing of your own children and for the sake of your bank account do not book at Scape Mile End.
